   Good place for diy and trade but I had been to three stories trying to find cls stud timber. Although they had plenty in stock there was very few pieces that were straight. Which is not good if you want a straight wall FRUSTRATING!!!@@

   Excellent service. I have mobility issues, one of the assistants kindly pushed the trolley, loaded it up for me. When we got to the checkout he opened another till to serve me then took my goods out & loaded them into my boot. He went above and beyond what is expected. Thank you.

   This store stock is low. I went looking for 15m straights push fit . They hardly had any stock. Lucky enough there is a proper plumbing merchant only 6 minutes from them with professional advice. Being new to the area I now know not to use Wickes for plumbing in this area.

   Wickes has made my year a nightmare with my new kitchen. Three months ago my so-called installer (he was a second rate handyman at best) said he didn’t have time to finish my installation and had to go to another job. He said he’d be back in ‘three or four weeks’, leaving me with a half-completed kitchen. He dragged my old appliances down to the end of my street and dumped them on the pavement (so much for eco-friendly trash removal), he left my fridge cabinet propped up on a screwdriver, no lighting, no tiles, damaged skirting boards, damaged window frames, missing cabinets, doors and baseboards. It took two months for me to get to customer services and still they have not given me any indication how long it will be before they get it finished. Absolutely the most horrible experience I have ever had and I have made it my quest to warn as many people as possible about the abominable service they offer. Three months later: Kitchen is finally finished. It took exactly six months and it measures 5 metres x 3 metres! Wickes has a set fee of £12.50 compensation for each week your job overruns (just enough to buy a fish supper for two), but they don't count the first four weeks because that's an 'acceptable' time to be without a kitchen. My job overran by twenty-four weeks. For that I was awarded the princely sum of £250. Absolutely nothing else was taken into consideration. They failed on every level. Shame on Wickes.
