The best dance school in the area, hands down. Established over 30 years ago and still producing results. All teachers are fully qualified and have personal experiences within the industry. They take pride in teaching technique to enable children to become beautiful dancers. Exams, shows, competitions, dinner dances, event entertainment, festivals, the list goes on. The kids have great opportunities at JH Dance. Get in touch now.

My daughter has been at the school for 12 months now, it has been fantastic and she has loved every minute. Over the weekend we went to the schools dance performance and WOW I hadn’t realised how many students went and we were so impressed with how professional the performance was at Stockport Plaza. Highly recommended for anyone interested in a professional dance school.

5*, Such an amazing dance school! The teachers and Janice herself are very passionate, caring and kind I could not recommend this dance school enough. The thought and effort that goes into each class is astounding, and the same for all the time and detail put into the shows. I would definitely recommend. Xxxx

I attended The Janice Hughes School of Dance from the age of 10 years old. Not only did it give me the highest standard of training, it also provided me with opportunities to teach and since then my own daughter has attended the school too. It's a real dance family with high standards, excellent exam history and has professional produced shows at some very prestigious theatres. I could not recommend this dance school enough.

I definitely recommend you come and try out JHdance.

The gift of dance, passion, discipline and love! I started dancing here at 3years old, and I can highly recommend this school from the deepest parts of my heart! Throughout the whole school there is a distinct sense of community. I have made some of my closest, truest and oldest friends here and have been given the best gift anyone can give me, the gift of dance! JHSoD became by home and will always be my family. I am so proud to have been part of this dance school. There are so many opportunities you are open too by dancing here! Dancing with the Hallé Orchestra at the Bridgewater Hall, the Palace Theatre in Manchester, performing in numerous charity events, continuously winning at the BDO Championships for their street dances, many have gone on to perform both in the UK and abroad too, this is to name a few! If you are looking for an inspiring, community building, family feel, fun filled, safe place to start dancing or to start your dance career this is by far THE best place to go!!

I have been dancing at the Janice Hughes School of Dance since I was 3 years old, I’m now 32 and I’m still here! I have enjoyed every single year of my dancing life and am so thankful to Miss J (aka Miss Janice, the principle of this amazing dance school) and all the wonderful teachers I have had along the way. Who all in some way inspired me to become a teacher too and now I am able to pass on my love and passion for dance to others, which in its self is something magnificent. I am so grateful to be able to do this and to do it here at a place I love. JHDance is not only a place to enjoy your hobby, it’s a place you can really live out your dreams... There are so many opportunities here; as a dance school we have danced at Her Majesty’s Theatre in London, we have performed our dancing school shows at the Palace Theatre in Manchester, danced at the Bridgewater Hall to the beautiful music of the Halle Orchestra, been part of the opening ceremony of the Common Wealth Games, competed (and won a trophy or two) in street dance competitions and performed in professional pantomimes as well as so many other various events, we would honestly be here all day if I continued to list them! As well as being a place to fulfil your dreams JHDance is also a place filled with wonderful people who I can thankfully call my best friends, or as I like to put it, the family you choose for yourself. It really has become my second home. I can honestly say that if I had a little one he or she would definitely be dancing here. Miss J is a fantastic teacher; she is motivational, inspiring, caring, encouraging, animating, loving, devoted (to name a few) and makes you feel like part of the JHDance family. So do all the other fantastic teachers at this dancing school. I would highly recommend you come, try it out and see for yourself what being part of a dance family can be like. We’d love to have you.
