CPA is obviously a well supported dance school for its evening and weekend classes. The students work to a high standard. Unfortunately my daughter started in the first year that they decided to deliver the BTech L3 in Musical Theatre and it was not very well structured, which cost them 2 very good members of staff who resigned due to the inefficiencies. There was a significant amount of time (2 months) where there was no acting tutor. The environment at the college is far from warm and welcoming. My daughter left the college in April of her final year due to mental health issues that were partly caused by the hostile environment at the college. My daughter had a number of health issues caused by a car accident and then mental health as a result of the same. Also the college was a 50 mile round trip on a daily basis! Therefore her absence caused others to be hostile towards her and their hostility caused her to not want to go to college! Thereby a viscous circle. I have been in the college and witnessed the Principal being cold towards my daughter and she has told parents of other students that my daughter has β€˜drained her β€˜ of her energy and that she has to hand her over to another tutor. As a former tutor in FE myself I consider this to be outrageous and completely unacceptable behaviour. It is completely unprofessional, unethical and unjust. There are a lot of hidden costs on the course. Charging for good luck messages in programmes and excluding any pupils headshots whose parents haven’t paid Β£20 for a good luck message! There were also charges for taking part in shows which should be subsidised as part of an approved course. Consider sending your child somewhere else if you want them to have a better quality of education with pastoral support

I recently enrolled my two children, and I can honestly say it has been the best decision I’ve made! From the very beginning, the team has been incredibly welcoming, making my children feel comfortable and excited to continue their dance journey. The school offers such a wide range of classes in all styles, giving my children the opportunity to explore and find what they love most. The induction process was extremely professional, each teacher provided detailed and thoughtful feedback after the trial classes, which really helped me understand my children’s strengths and areas for growth. The facilities are absolutely stunning and maintained to an incredibly high standard, creating an inspiring environment for learning and creativity. The opportunities available, from performances to competitions and beyond, are truly impressive. I only wish I had discovered Central Performing Arts sooner! It’s clear that the school is passionate about nurturing talent and helping every child reach their full potential. I couldn’t recommend it more highly.

My daughter started at CPA in September after changing from her previous dance school. She loves all her classes. The teachers and facilities are outstanding and she is learning so much. We are not from the area but it’s well worth the travel! She has felt very welcomed to the school and can’t wait to continue her dance journey at the college this year. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a new dance school.

My daughter has been dancing here for 6 years now and part of the competition team for 3 years. She loves it! The studios and theatre are purpose built and the classes have the right balance of technique and fun and, as a previous professional performer, I wanted to be spending my money on quality coaching. The cafe is a nice bonus whilst waiting around for my daughter to finish. It is comparable financially to other schools but the standard of teaching and facilities is far better.

The most nurturing dance school with exceptional training, exceptionally caring teachers and a standard of dance education that is second to non. So very thankful for all CPA do for my daughter and seeing how much she has flourished under their care, training and guidance during the past 3 years has been a joy to see. We travel quite a distance to attend CPA, but is worth every mile and cannot recommend enough. My daughter is now going onto attend the Classical Pathway Btec course at CPA and we are over the moon that this is an option for dancers leaving school wishing to consider a career within this industry. Central performing arts truly is a magical place where a child’s love of dance is inspired by teachers who really do have their best interests at heart, in addition to being industry professionals who have themselves worked or are still working/performing. Truly inspirational dance school and dance community.

My daughter Eleanor developed her ballet skills with Miss Wright and her team at Centrepointe. The studios in Denton are of the highest order and are used by Royal Ballet School for their outreach programme and their regional auditions. Parking and accessibility is easy and I always felt comfortable in the cosy waiting room, waiting for my daughter. Training is serious but includes a fun element. The boys and girls get on well and such events as local competitions and the annual performance mean that training is not without purpose. My own daughter is now in London training for a ballet career. All her progress to date has been the result of the help, training, encouragement and support Eleanor got from Miss Wright and her team....both in groups and the individual coaching. Do not hesitate. If you want the best for your son or daughter, go to Centrepointe. You will not be disappointed.
