A very professional yet friendly dance school with high standards of teaching across a full range of disciplines. My daughter is 12 and has been attending since she was 3 and as a former pupil myself I can’t recommend it highly enough. The school put on excellent shows and there are opportunities to enter exams and competitions.

Our daughter has been attending Rawle School of Dance for the last 4 years. We travel to RSD from outside of Macclesfield for lessons each week after considering dance schools in Knutsford, Hartford, Holmes Chapel and Wilmslow because the quality of the teaching at RSD is second to none. Our daughter started dancing in private lessons with Miss Rawle at the age of 2. Miss Rawle was so warm and caring, and was able to instruct in such a way that engaged our daughter to start to develop proper ballet technique whilst also ensuring her lessons were fun, and we witnessed firsthand just how incredible Miss Rawle is at teaching during these first lessons. Since then, our daughter has gone on to group ballet lessons alongside tap, contemporary modern jazz, and musical theatre under both Miss Rawle and Gabriella, and the growth she has demonstrated is exceptional. Beyond the engaging weekly lessons, our daughter also attends summer workshops and has performed in two showcases which were simply superb. The children at RSD are SO incredibly talented, and this is down to the amazing team at RSD who provide the perfect combination of skilled teaching with warm nurturing. Our daughter is always excited to attend her lessons and always has a smiling face when she leaves, there truly is no place she would rather be than dancing with her lovely teachers and the wonderful friends she has made. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Rawle School of Dance to any parent considering dance lessons for their children, it is a magical place.

Our Daughter has attended Rawle’s since she was 2 and she is now almost 5. She absolutely loves going and she is such a confident little person as a result. During her time at the school she has danced in two theatre shows (which have been wonderful to watch for the whole family) and she’s danced in a competition. The teachers are lovely and the older dancers help out the youngers so much! Such a wonderful place for her to spend her time. We can’t recommend enough!

My daughter has attended the dance school for 9 years and currently takes classes 5 days per week. It’s her home from home and she thoroughly enjoys the challenge of the classes and the interactions she has with her teachers and classmates. The variety of class types available is great, including musical theatre which my daughter loves. The encouragement and careful teaching has allowed my daughter to excel and progress through grades gaining high marks at each step. The highlight of our Summer is always the week of Summer School!

Superb dance school teaching various disciplines in little old Macclesfield. The teachers have guided my daughters to be able to perform, compete, and excel in any dance and performance situation to very high standards. Add to this the camaraderie they share with the other members of the school with shared interests and goals that they count amongst their best friends, there is a genuine team atmosphere. There have been many times where we have needed advice outside of school times regarding costume or shoe preparation and both Miss Rawle or Gabriella have helped in every way, including taking out the needle and thread to do the work themselves. Both my daughter’s started at the school as 3 year olds and have loved every minute of their dance education they have received from the Rawle School. I highly recommend this school for anyone looking to take dance seriously, as exercise, or for the main thing which is fun.

My daughters have been attending Rawle School of Dance for 8 and 6 years now respectively. During this time, they have made so much progress within their dancing abilities and also levels of confidence. Miss Rawle and Gabs are extremely knowledgeable, but also very approachable and personable, they strive to get the best out of your child in a friendly manner. I would definitely recommend this dance school and I look forward to seeing my daughters develop further and make many more happy memories here.

Happy children and such lovely performances to celebrate all their achievements, especially the summer school which all three of my children looked forward to attending every year. Well done The Rawle School of Dance what a wonderful local school and such a professional and nurturing environment.

If I could give 0 stars I would..... Archaic teaching methods, with no concept of understanding my child's emotional requirements, or how to engage them with respect. The teacher decided to cut my 4 year old daughter's laces on her brand new ballet shoes with no explanation to her as to why! My daughter was distraught and began crying inconsolably, like any child would. The result of this was my daughter being told by the teacher to stop crying as she was acting like a baby, the teacher continues to say she has 2 year olds that don't act as silly as her! My daughter then sat out the session due to being upset for around 30 minutes whilst the session continued.. At no point were we contacted to come and pick her up before the session ended, despite my wife waiting in the car park the entire time, and the teacher knew she was there!! As a teaching facility you assume a duty of care for the students and you clearly have no concept of what that involves. This is not a military academy or the 1950's. Belittling children to get them to respond positively doesn't work .. I firmly do NOT recommend this dance school..
