   After 20 years away from ballet (and off pointe!), I decided to back to adult ballet about 20 kilos heavier and with horribly out of shape arches! Heather's studio is tucked away under a railway bridge so is a little noisy at times, but other than that, it's a gorgeous experience. Heather herself is gentle and sweet, super encouraging (not at all like Madame Pauline when I was young!) and the best thing is: THIS IS A FULLY DIVERSE, INCLUSIVE STUDIO! I wasn't the only person my age (40s), there were all genders (including trans and non-binary people) and ages and colours, which was lovely and welcoming. My class had a working dad in his 50s, who was just as comfy alongside me as the younger, fitter kids. Really loved it and if you can't make it to Salford, Heather offers online courses as well, which are just as challenging and fun!

   Friendly and welcoming city centre ballet fitness school. The owner Heather is patient and encouraging. Heather also takes the time to explain each ballet technique and delivers two way and positive feedback. There's also a juice and coffee bar inside.

   I've just started taking ballet classes here and had such a lovely and warm welcome. Heather the instructor is super kind and welcoming! She is encouraging regardless of level and it's a great workout! In addition to the instructor, the students themselves are great and take the time to chat before and after class. You won't feel left out!

   Heather's classes are addictive to say the least! I attended one of her full day workshops, and I was so amazed by her teaching. I've never met a kinder, more genuinely complimentary dance teacher, who also provides useful corrections and huge amounts of welcome technical guidance. It's the perfect combination. I've never laughed more during a ballet workshop either, which speaks volumes of the joyful atmosphere which you'll find at Ballet Contours. I've returned for 4 drop in classes since then, and each one has left me feeling buoyant and inspired. And if all of that wasn't enough, you will also find a lovely range of dancewear, music, snacks and drinks for sale in this stylish, bijoux studio. I love this place very much, and couldn't recommend it more.

   Love these classes. I’m an unfit, overweight mature lady but I’ve been made to feel so welcome. The classes are challenging for me but I can feel it’s doing me good and Heather is so lovely and encouraging. I would urge anyone who is thinking about going along to give it a go. I’ve vacillated for years about going to ballet lessons and I’m so glad I found Ballet Contours. I really look forward to each class.

   I've been dancing at Ballet Contours since January and I can't express enough how amazing Heather is. She is a welcoming, genuine and supportive teacher who encourages each and everyone of us. No matter how many of us are in her class, she spends personalised time with everyone. I leave having an informative understanding of my improvements; my weaknesses that I need work on; and a clearer understanding of my own anatomy. Her teaching methods are inclusive and they deliver results. She clearly puts in alot of time and thought into her lesson plans. I also occasionally have private lessons, when it fits in around life, and I bring my son with me. Heather is so lovely with him, giving him his own space to join in. Heather also takes an interest in what her dancers are upto outside of the studio, asking how we are getting on and even helping me with career choices! Thanks Heather. You're one in a mill!
