BMW had a puncture in a run flat again. Tony advised together online and order . Did so and had a new tyre fitted Adam at 2pm the fo day! Great service by both Roy and Adam!
I took my elderly Mercedes SL to Halfords Autocentre in Wallasey for its MOT and was blown away by the quality of service I received. The centre manager Roy and Technician Jamie went well beyond what anyone could reasonably expect. They were courteous, enormously generous with their time and extremely professional in sorting out my MOT and getting my car running again after a somewhat hamfisted intervention on my part. I am extremely grateful to them and cannot thank them enough.
Service and MOT sept 2025. Roy and his team provide an exceptional service. They are professional, friendly and keep you informed throughout. If you are an NHS worker you get a discount too! Ideal place to book your car in if you work at Victoria Central Hospital across the road.
I have unfortunately had to visit Halfords on Mill Lane in Wallasey on numerous occasions lately. Each time I have been and, enquired about my car (through no fault of Halfords) they have been wonderful and helpful. I highly recommend them. Thank you so much
According to the email received after booking on line for the MOT and general check out time slot it was 8-30 MOT then other work it should be carried out straight after the MOT I was there 8-15 the mechanic told me it's drop off I had to leave the car until 15-30 received a call to say the car was ready Something isn't right what i have been told in the garage and what's the email stated Please explain to me also don't get me wrong I will still use Halford wallasey garage Thank you Abdurrauf benmousa
I never leave reviews but feel like I have to because of the terrible MOT I got from this place. It failed on 7 issues with a total repair cost of in excess of £600. I was rushing round trying to find garages for a week to do the work and when I found one, they told me there was nothing wrong with my car and I should pay for a retest at a different, reputable MOT garage that they recommended. I booked it in and it passed with no advisories, they even complimented me for taking such good care of my car. I will never use this garage again.
Always a friendly and informative staff. Ready to advise and help. Just had my car mot and service. All great but can l suggest you put paper on the floor as it took me a long time to clean mess from oily boots off my light grey carpet.
I took my car here for an MOT and recieved service from Hell. Firstly, the front desk staff were rude and totally unprofessional. I was initially ignored by the worker as though I was not there. Finally I was scowled at and told 'KEYS', coupled with an outstrecthed hand that snatched them away. I asked how long my MOT would be and was told, 'Don't know, we'll call you'. Sure enough I did not recieve a call some 3 hours later, so I rang up myself and was told my car had failed, and to come and collect before being hung up on. When I returned to the garage I was presented with a mountain of issues and a repair bill that was double what the car was worth. I was then told I can book in for the repairs later the next week. I use my car daily so this was a massive issue. After googling independant garages in the area I found one that quoted me for the repairs at a fraction of the price (less than half), After collecting my car from the other garage, I was also informed that some of the 'issues' listed by halfords were completey FALSE. Clearly they were just trying to make money off me aand scam me. Absolutley disgusting behaviour and I will be informing trading standards. My car subsequently passed the retest MOT at Halfords, much to the obvious despair of the Halfords employee, who meerly grunted at me, handed me my pass sheet and threw the car key across the front desk. It gives me immeasureable joy that these disgraceful, unqualified 'mechanics' did not recieve a single penny more from me, and I only hope that this review serves to dissuade ANY potential victim who may fall trap to this scamming, poor excuse of a garage.
Halford website let me book in for a coolant change, and windscreen treatment only to find out when we arrived that they dont do it and don’t know how to do it because Halfords bought the company and own national tyres now the company apparently expects them to know how to do most of the things ….. disappointed wasted a morning and my precious time ! Also on the message confirmation it said arrive 10 min before so I arrived at 9:50 and the staff came at exactly 10 and by the time they opened up and started taking customers it was 10:10 so why ask for people to come early if your own staff can’t follow the “company times “
