   I have been attending Act up North online since the end of April and have absolutely loved my Wednesday night acting classes (a great way to break up the week)! I'd browsed the website quite a few times before deciding to join as, although acting is an interest of mine, I don't have extensive past experience and was slightly nervous about what the audition and classes would be like. I am so glad that I decided to audition. It was a fun and interesting process, which would have been beneficial even had I not have been accepted (although obviously I was delighted to get in)! All the tutors that have taught me have been so helpful, down to earth and constructive and Act up North caters for different needs, ages and experiences very well. I've also enjoyed meeting other people interested in acting and having the confidence to take risks, be 'brave' and versatile. My confidence and public speaking skills in other areas of my life have developed too. I think it's great that the classes are available online for individuals who live too far away to join in person regularly or might for some reason have difficulties joining an in person event. In addition to the usual weekly class, there are lots of optional workshops with individuals such as casting directors. These have included an in-person Sunday session in Manchester that I attended recently. Furthermore, there is ‘professional practice weekend’ (PPW) which runs on a weekend towards the end of each term. The administrative side is also excellent, answering any questions that I have had promptly. In sum, I'd recommend Act up North to anyone interested in acting whatever 'stage' you feel you're at with the process, so long as you are committed and willing to put some effort in. Do be prepared to work hard - there are often scripts and exercises to do in between classes - and to learn more about yourself as well as acting. Thanks to the dedicated staff and tutors for all your hard work and I look forward to future classes.

   Incredible acting sessions each week. Highlight is always professional practice weekends at the end of each term with a casting director. Just had the pleasure to work with Michael Lacey and took so many awesome tips from him, so thank you! Been with Act Up North for over 2 years and highly recommend it to learn and perform different skills each week! :D

   Always enjoy my classes at Act up North and feel I have learnt somthing new every time. Teachers are great and the effort they put into the showreals also are excellent.. Ive been with Act up North for over three years and intend to keep going. Safe fun place to be.. :)

   I love attending the Act Up North Online classes, on a practical basis they are fantastic for people like me who would struggle to attend their weekly in person classes. The quality of the tuition is excellent, the tutors friendly, approachable and knowledgable. The classes are interesting and informative with plenty of opportunity for creative and practical work. They provide a safe space to learn and develop skills and techniques with a great bunch of people. The icing on the cake is the regular opportunity to work with industry professionals. I would definitely recommend Act Up North Online to anyone, whatever their previous experience or lack there of. And with so many auditions etc being by self tape or online they are a great way to become comfortable with this technology.

   I've been an online student with AUN for almost 2 years and would definitely recommend these classes to others wanting to branch out and try something new. Having the classes online is extremely accessible to me, as I would otherwise have to travel for ages to get to any similar classes. AUN have great classes for those that are starting out fresh, those who have experience in the acting industry and also those who just want to brush up on their skills, and their prices are also very reasonable and accessible.

   I remember during the fall of 2012 when I was enrolled into ActUpNorth. A man with mental health issues like depression and anxiety. Trying to overcome those barriers. But the people at ActUpNorth didn’t care one bit. After Christmas went, I was soon deleted from the local Facebook without any explanation. Cut to the beginning of 2013 when I tried to contact them about it, as well as asking why my payment for the next term wasn’t accepted. They claimed that they had sent me a rejection letter but it must have gotten lost in the post. They said they couldn’t teach me any further because my anxiety and fear was too much of a barrier for them. I now realise they only really care about using the top students they can find to make themselves look good. Rather than helping and teaching students to overcome the obstacles to exceed. Some people may look at this as someone bitter, but I want to warn anyone with any mental health issues to look for another class or company that actually care about helping their students bettering themselves. These people clearly don’t.

   Best Acting School in the North of England. Most my fellow students have tried various different acting schools, but they all state, none compare to ActupNorth. everyone is so friendly and the tutors extremely knowledgeable.

   I Hone my craft at Act Up North Manchester.I already have a lot of experience performing in Films , TV series and on stage. It is very important to me to keep up my training especially during rest periods. I have learned allot and I am constantly improving as a performer. Act Up north offers good value and is a very professional atmosphere to train in.

   Act up north is a great school, been here over a year and no 2 classes are ever the same! We learn new techniques every week and constantly review what we have learnt. We get experience infront of the camera on a regular basis. I would recommend this school and the classes they offer to anyone who seriously want to persue a career in acting !
