A lovely local gem run by the performers. The production was delightfully earnest and I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Highbury is a small theatre, tucked in a residential street and looked after by a mixture of paid staff and volunteers. All the people I have come across are absolutely wonderful, so helpful and welcoming. Smaller acts can showcase themselves here and I've seen some fantastic performances. There is a small bar area, with really reasonable prices (nothing like the prices you pay at other theatres) and there's a cafe area too if tea or coffee is your preference. You can normally park on the side road. I think we are lucky to have this small theatre in our local area and I hope it keeps going to bring joy to me and others. I'm only giving 4 stars, not 5, based on the premises maybe needing a bit of a facelift, but I imagine that would cost the theatre too much to do, and would no doubt impact the prices they currently charge.

This hidden gem is a great little theatre providing first class entertainment all in house and a great variety of plays both classic and modern. Highly recommended!

This place took me by surprise. I did not know of this lovely theatre which was about 3 miles away and set away from the main Bolmere Road. We saw a small production panto of Goldilocks which was funnier than anything I had seen in central Birmingham for many years. My daughter’s best friend was the little bear and she was excellent. The seating was great and had a cosy feel and the audience was inclusive in the performance. Yes it is small, but it had a bar, shop and sofas in the waiting areas. I would recommend supporting this theatre and similar around the West Midlands area.

My friend and I had a lovely evening at the Highbury. Saw a fantastic farce and the wine was cheap and very nice. Pity it couldn't be transferred into paper cups to take into the performance, though.

First time visit to see a Panto. Lovely small theatre. All normal facilities including bar very reasonably priced. We parked in the street as a carpark wasn't obvious, so there may be one. Performance of Jack and the Beanstalk was enthusiastically acted by amateur theatre group. Great family fun at Christmas

This is a lovely local theatre with a rich history, and we enjoyed a friendly welcome from drama group members. There is a bright and cheerful cafe on the premises - or there's a bar if you prefer alcoholic drinks in the interval. This evening's performance was 'Art' by Yasmin Reza. Interesting and well-acted - a wonderful evening out.
