Excellent family run independent coffee shop. Very busy serving great coffee, free trade teas and lovely smoothies and shakes. All served alongside home cooked food. Highly recommend a visit if you’re in the area

Lovely atmosphere, pleasant staff and food was great and good value. Also has lots of options for veg and gf options. Will definitely call in again when next walking nearby.
Nice cafe with good coffee. Cakes were a bit too sweet for our liking. Staff could also be a bit friendlier. It's not very welcoming when you walk in and say hi and all you get is a stone cold face with no reply. Overall OK
My go to for a weekend coffee and cake! Always a great coffee, lots of choice for other drinks and a great selection of cakes and sweet treats. Never had a cooked meal there but the plates always look amazing when they’re brought out for others! The staff are lovely and friendly as well. Highly recommend
My partner lives nearby so we occasionally pop in to Rootz for a morning coffee or breakfast. Service is always really friendly and the lovely food is prepared to order. Their vegetarian breakfast makes a great start to the day, while my partner really likes the full English. They also have a nice selection of arts and crafts for sale. It can be a little busy on weekend mornings but you can usually find a table. Rootz is definitely a far nicer option than the branch of a certain large national franchise down the road.
