Came in with a larger table of 15 for my mums birthday and the staff were so welcoming and understanding. We really appreciate how great they were considering how indecisive my family are!! Great food with gluten free options and yummy drinks, I'm sure my mum will be begging to come back soon (with a smaller table next time!). Thank you so so much!
Ordered a gluten-free tuna, cheese, tomato & onion sandwich. Got tuna and cheese… on four heel slices. Didn’t know a loaf could even have that many! Spoke to Alex about the missing onions and tomatoes and she brought me sliced tomatoes separately but again no onions. Really disappointed, because I frequent this cafe with friends and visitors from abroad I’m all for cutting waste—but maybe don’t give all the ends to one customer? Ok, the competition for the best ever scones is ON. They are made on the premises and have a hint of vanilla and lemon zest. I’ve eaten a lot of scones and these are up there with the best.
I was visiting on a very sunny day and the tea shop was not busy on arrival (around 10.30). By the time I had walked around the gardens, it was lunchtime, and the cafe was busy. The food was excellent and reasonably priced. The cake was delicious. The gardens are beautiful, and there is plenty of space for either a short walk or a longer one.
Lovely dog-friendly cafe with LOTS of choice including gluten free and a lot of seating in the sunshine. Really good service. Cake was homemade but a bit bland. Decent coffee. Slow queue but helpful and friendly.
Shocking enough the cafe was not serving the options from menu at 1pm! We were hungry but there was only the option of soup and hardly any veg choice. Disappointing. Kids came back home hungry We were so looking forward to a nice meal.
Limited brunch menu. No seating inside and limited seating outside under the awning (it was raining when we got there). Coffee was good though and the it was calm and relaxing. The outdoor flowers and decorations was beautiful. Just an ordinary small cafe in the garden.
Beautiful location and therefore worth a visit but don’t expect much from the coffee.
A beautiful little cafe located next to the walled garden and a perfect place for breakfast or brunch on a nice summer day. The photographs I have posted may only partially do justice to this place but it will also give you a fair bit if understaning of surrounding. The breakfast is very reasonable and the brunch too. Had a jacket potato with chicken coronation and loved it. This place is also dog friendly. Service was quick. Cafe overall is very clean and tidy. Would definitely recommend it!
