Coffee tasted like soil flavoured water. Unfortunately tried it too far away from the shop to go back and ask for a proper cup. It's a shame such quality is served when small basic coffee costs four pounds! Not going back there again, it used to be so much better
Best Costa coffee with good customer service of all good staff like Zulakha,Switzerland ,jessi,ash, Nirma they all good staff because of them this Costa coffee looks nice and is run very well , good luck to all staff I am proud of your staff
Loses a service star because the bathroom door was code locked so patrons were trying the door, finding it locked, asking for the code on a bit of paper, and then 50% of them still couldn't get the door to open. I needed to go before I left but couldn't be bothered with the hassle. Loses two food stars because there were no vegan sandwich/wrap options and no sunflower spread to even just have toast.
I had a disappointing experience during my recent visit. I requested a replacement bun, as the one served was burned. The staff responded with, “That’s how we do it, you can ask anyone here,” which felt dismissive. I was simply there to enjoy a coffee and a bun, not to debate preparation methods & not ask another customer here! As a customer, I shouldn’t be expected to know how your oven works. When I asked for a replacement or a refund, on 2nd bun I was instead shown how the oven operates. After about 20 seconds, I asked them to stop it, and the response I got was, “I thought you wanted to see how it cooks!”—which was frustrating. I hope this feedback helps improve the complete service going forward!
The competence and service levels are low. The staff need training and support to get coffees out quickly and to standard. Their manners is good but their skill levels are low. The staff are also doing mobile delivery orders which slows them down. The toilets were clean. But on my visit they have run out of serviettes which is not right. The knife that was offered to me was not clean, but the food was covered so hygiene was mixed standards
Love Costa. Today I had caramel latte with toasted tea cake (hot cross bun). Coffee tastes nice, their flavoured syrups don’t leave any aftertaste like some other chains. Another thing that makes them a far better choice over others is their food is clearly labelled for dietary requirements - a veggie or vegan person won’t have to ask for every item if it was suitable.
The staff here are lovely and friendly. As a frequent visitor the staff remember my order too. The seating is comfortable and the place is always kept clean. Would definitely recommend this coffee shop.
5pm, an hour before closing, a couple of customers in the cafe only. Dishwasher broken, only coffee in a paper cup..okay. 2 Baristas, one nice, the other clearly wished she was elsewhere. Lacked warm empathic customer service. Disappointing. Would've been nice if the tables were clean and the chairs were not stained. Not pleasant, especially when you need a break, have a coffee and chat with your better half
I popped in for a festive hot chocolate, spotted a notice on the wall for bacon roll for £2 with a hot drink, so asked for one at the till. Paid my money and waited. Did not look at receipt or really think about how much I had paid. When my drink was ready I asked about the bacon roll and was looked at blankly. The lady who appeared to be in charge shouted at me had I brought one over from the fridge. I said I didn't know I had to. I left with just my drink. Plenty of other Costas I can go to where they treat to you properly.
It’s not a same what use to be to be honest that coffee shop is poor on customer service staff doesn’t know how to make a proper coffee staff if one of making a coffee the other one stay still waiting for looking instead try to help get coffee because is big queue sorry to say that I don’t wait for my coffee more than 15mn I think staff need to be trained probably and make them understand customer first ok and make them clean table when is not busy
