   A long waiting list for rolling Road but definitely well worth the wait. Andrew is a true engineer and has transformed my car. A Marlin kit car with a 3.5 litre BMW engine and triple weber carbs. He repeatedly put it on the dyno, made changes, road tested and repeated this process until it is running as never before. He also set up the suspension geometry and it now handles better, esp on uneven surfaces. This chap is a perfectionist and knows exactly what he is doing. He kept me informed of his progress and okayed expenses with me as they became necessary to get the result we were both after. This place is a treasure.

   I have used John Clarkson Autos Dyno now for the past 5 years with all my Mitsubishi Rally cars, coming from the Isle of Man. It is a very well equipped setup, and is a very accurate dyno. The rates are very reasonable even for all day hire. Highly recommend for a full set up on a kit car or dyno power run. You are in great hands. Many Thanks Sean

   My Classic Mini 1340 was booked for a RR tune up, I was really impressed with the thoroughness of the work carried out with every setting checked from tappets to points gaps, compression etc being checked and numerous runs on the RR to find the optimal timing and fuel settings for the 40 DCOE Webber. The final result was to remove a flat spot in the torque curve and overall BHP improved by nearly 10% and a much improved drive on the road. Many Thanks Ian L

   Can't find fault with this garage. Friendly and efficient service from a family firm carried out by fully qualified and knowledgeable technicians. They are well equipped with full diagnostics etc. The premises are modern and kept spotlessly clean. Prices are competitive and more importantly they are honest. I noticed they also have a rolling road facility for two and four wheel drive vehicles. When I visited they were tuning a race car!!! Very talented people. Totally satisfied with the service provided for the major repair to my vehicle and will use them again for all my family's cars. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them. Thank you John Clarksons . I have returned to edit my review having read the one from someone who calls himself Sick Git. I think his choice of username says it all. Clearly a spurious review. I wonder if he would go to a Michelin star rated restaurant with his own ingredients purchased down the high street and ask the Chef to knock up a meal using the said ingredients. What an absolute half wit.

2. KD6 - 3.7 ★☆☆☆☆

   Called in for a quote to fit brand new top quality OEM parts (nothing overly difficult either), to be met with the most surly poor unhelpful attitude and then said, and I quote "will work out the cost of parts I'd already bought to see what he's lost and add that to the cost of the labour." Unethical, unscrupulous and unpleasant just about sums him up. At this point I happily said forget it and left before I lost my politeness. Ever wondered why garages are the butt of all jokes, now you know, because this is one of them!
