   Super customer service. We are so happy with this garage and its owner. He worked on our car earlier than expected and changed the fan belt with no excess costs other than labour. Highly recommend this garage!

   DO NOT USE TWIST LANE GARAGE!! If I could rate it zero stars, i would. I took my car in to them based on a recommendation from another garage, who had identified a fault, but were unable to fix it. When dropping my car off, i explained what the other garage had said and asked if it was something they could fix. They told confidently told me that they would confirm the diagnosis and would be able to sort it for me and that they would ring me the following day, once they had looked at it - that was Monday afternoon. I left it with them and on Tuesday afternoon, after no call, i rang them. They had not been able to connect their diagnostics machine to the car and were waiting to update the software. I called back before they closed on Tuesday - still no update. On Wednesday, I rang them around lunchtime to see where they were up to with it. At this point I was told it was waiting to go onto the ramp and that they would call me later in the afternoon. At 17:25, I had not heard anything, so I rang them again - no answer - they had closed. Now it's Thursday morning - I rang as soon as it opened, it was still waiting to go on the ramp. I told them that I had now lost 2 days work and the longer they were taking, the bigger the financial impact it was having on me. They promised to call me to later in the day to update me. This time, after many failed promises, they did call me - only to tell me what the problem was (which was the one I had told them on Monday) and that they did not have the part to fix it and were struggling to order one. At this point, I decided to collect my car, as they had not actually achieved anything in the days they had had it and book it in with someone else. I turned up at the garage to find out I was being charged almost £100 for them to 'look at it'. Obviously, unhappy about it, but need ed the car back, I reluctantly paid and asked for the owners number so that I could complain. I returned home and called the number only to find out that they had given me the wrong number. I am now out of pocket by over £500 (with lost wages and the garage bill) with the problem still outstanding. I would NOT recommend this garage to anyone!

   Lads where great took my car to be fixed. In the end the problems cost more than the car and lads just rang us up explained everything that needed doing and asked us what we wanted to do. We ended up saying to leave it and we would just buy a new car. They didn't charge us much for some of the work they had started which was brilliant. If I had one issue it would just be communication from their side, they had our car a while and it was us that had to keep ringing for updates, they did ring us to ask if we wanted them to carry on but that was it and they had it over a week. Other than that. It was perfect.

   Key points to learn Communication is king and be honest from the word go. I called Twist Lane Garage during the week too ask if they can fit a headlight bulb on MX-5 on Saturday morning. They said drop by and they will have look. The MX-5 headlight bulb involves taking the wheel off and removing the arch cover and access the headlight bulb from there. I provided the bulb and left the car with them at 8:45. I gave them my mobile no to let me know once it was done. No call so, went back at 12:40 as they close at 13:00 on Saturday. I appreciate it wasn't booked and others had, so was relived that they said it was done once I had arrived. This was were the problems started. £30 for the bulb and fitting. I said I provided the bulb so bill was reduced to £20. Fair enough. However turned the lights on and nothing from the replacement headlight bulb. Returned to garage with 10mins to raise this, the mechanic said it might be the bulb holder as they had some problems but it did work. Not happy or convinced I left. Took it to another garage and they where kind enough to have a look. 1. Some the arch cover clips where broken due to being incorrectly removed 2 The bulb wasn't plugged in so not even powered. 3 The bulb holder had a pin snapped off. If they can make a mess of this routine job or even test before releasing! Why would you trust them with your car with a more complex job. Avoid - I should taken heed of the previous poor reviews

   Rang up today to see if this garage would fit my wing mirror .spoke to a gentleman called graham who was polite ,professional,and gave me a very reasonable price to fix my issue .not only that but he done it for me on the day and saved my skin.The other mechanics in the garage was also nice and friendly and good humoured .if I lived in the area I would definitely use this company to service and look after my car.a good honest garage,Which is hard to come by these days.thanks again graham ,and crew .
