One of my favourite cafes in London. They do freshly baked scones and a lovely selection of cakes and teas. Highly recommend the cream tea

Welcoming, exceptional experience for whatever occasion brings you to Harrow on the Hill. Service was friendly and we would have loved to have lunch but for our schedule. Promised to send friends to check out this lovely quaint and traditional cafe in this picturesque part of London.

Cute little tea house on the high street of harrow-on-the-hill. Extensive menu of light lunches and teas. Nice nooks to sit in and enjoy the views. I sat outside as it was a beautiful sunny day - across from the Harrow School. Vegan options for food and desserts

A terrible experience. We walked into the place because it looked nice. Looked. I ordered a Big American pancakes brunch, expecting, for £13, a hearty and generous American-style breakfast. And instead? I received a miserable, utterly disappointing plate. Still, I thanked the waiter. But then I immediately noticed a problem: the two slices of bacon were completely burnt. Alright, mistakes happen. I politely called the waiter over and asked if they could be replaced, as they were too hard (even the knife struggled to cut through them) and charred. In 2025, with all the anti-cancer campaigns warning against eating burnt food, serving something like this is simply unacceptable. And their response? Absurd. The waiter immediately told me that they never replace dishes, but he would check with the cook (who I believe is also the owner). A few minutes later, he came back with the verdict: the bacon could not be replaced. If I wanted it less cooked, I would have to order another dish and pay the full price again—another £13. Really? Over two slices of bacon worth 40p? No care in the preparation of the dishes. Those two slices of bacon shouldn’t have been served at all. Zero customer service, no courtesy, no professionalism. Ridiculously overpriced for what they offer. Obviously, I will never come back. And not only that—I will actively warn my clients against this place. Yes, because I work in tourism and organize tours in London. A terrible business decision on their part, and all this for two burnt slices of bacon!

Needs a bit of a spruce up- the place is looking rather tired. Quiche was delicious however the cakes were a bit dry and for over £4 you'd expect a slightly bigger slice. Staff were very friendly though (22/2/23).

The owners were lovely however even with a reservation for afternoon tea made more than 24 hours in advance we were seated in a corner upstairs where it was uncomfortably warm and very noisy. Our tea was supposed to last 1 1/2 hours but we left after less than an hour. We didn’t finish our food but took what remained with us. We anticipated a quiet afternoon tea but the tables were very close together and it was we couldn’t carry on a conversation due to the noisy tables around. When we made our reservation we were told the toilets were located downstairs. They needed cleaning and smelled.

It's hard for a place that does not serve fresh food to earn more than 3 stars, and especially not where advertised as "freshly made". While the flavours are not offensive and can taste reasonably enjoyable, the freshness wholeheartedly lets it all down. The breakfast: Generally ok. The scrambled eggs are cooked in batches and scooped out to order. The hash browns were soggy but tasted ok. The sausages and bacon were dry and tough although they seemed to be good quality. All arrived lukewarm. The waffle: Slightly disappointing. Though the cream and bananas were enjoyable, the waffle clearly came from a packet bought from the supermarket. It is not made on premises. It arrived room temperature. The Big American: Generally ok. Most of the components are the same as the breakfast above aside from the pancakes which were also very average and seemingly also came from a packet. The maple syrup was definitely tasty. The Scone: the real sinner. Advertised as "freshly baked to order", we were thoroughly disappointed to find that it was not. Maybe baked on premises but the one we received was dry and barely warm, certainly not the sign of a fresh scone. All in all, very very average. What was lost in freshness and flavour was somehow made up by the quality of the ingredients used. A suggestion would be to make the menu smaller. The large menu is most likely the reason for the pre-prepared items and the inability to cook fresh and until they do reduce the menu size, I would recommend either tempering your expectations or not visiting at all.

First impressions nice location, parking can be a stretch. Ordered a full english vegetarian breakfast, was very basic with two fried eggs, two hash browns, one sausage, a small pot of beans and literally a small mushroom on a plate. Hygiene was a bit poor, we were sat at the back of the cafe and noticed cobwebs in some areas. Overall, staff were friendly & efficient however was a very pricey breakfast for what we had.

My friend and I had a delicious Sunday brunch at this beautiful little hidden gem on the hill! I’ve been to this area many times and I didn’t even know it existed. The food was absolutely delicious, the desserts were spectacular and the atmosphere is adorable. The staff are so so so friendly and welcoming and their hospitality was amazing. Their whole menu just looks amazing and if I could, I would’ve tried a lot more! It was just simply delightful. Highly highly recommend
