Been taking my car here for a couple of years. Always happy to help. Picked my car up for me from work and completed the job as promised. Nothing seemed too much trouble. They had another customer leaving who was very happy with the repair of their car. Also asked for my tyre pressure to be checked while I was there. No problem at all. Thank you
Had used this garage for years and was always OK until September 2024 when I took for annual MOT and oil / filter change. Car was left at garage and had no issues on dropping it off. It was booked in for 10am and I was anticipating a quick pass of MOT, so rang at 2pm for an update...to be told they hadn't done it, because my engine management warning light was on..."did i not know"? I argued that there had been no warning lights on at all and car was fine...also queried why they hadn't rang me about this...got stutters and silence to both questions! I needed the car the next day for my child to get to a medical appointment, so my partner collected the car without any work completed...they tried to tell him a load of rubbish about the warning light that had appeared...my partner checked the car when he got home as it was somehow now running terribly and had poor acceleration...he found a wire had been disconnected from the turbo region...he reconnected this and warning light miraculously disappeared and car ran fine again! We luckily managed to book in MOT with another garage and it sailed through with only an advisory on one tyre!! Something tells me I was being set up to be charged for a "big job" that didn't really exist!! I've also recently had my oil and filter changed elsewhere and this indicated that the oil and filter hadn't been changed for a long time, despite me paying for this garage to do it annually with each MOT. I used to always use this garage, but sorry to say I wouldn't trust it to so much as wash a car properly now!!
Absolute cowboys! Ds told me my fuse unit box needed replacing, took it to these and they told me no it's the battery, paid £390 the replaced battery for the same problem to still be there.. took car in loads of times for them to sort and put on ramp and still not completed the job after having my car for a full day! Promised to call round after work to complete and a no show! Don't trust these guys at all !!!!!!!!
AVOID AVOID AVOID! Complete cowboys. Took my car to get my water pump replaced as my coolant was leaking and car was overheating. My car was fine for a day or two until I noticed the coolant had dropped massively. Went back and was told that it’s normal for it to drop (complete lie). Said they would put it on the ramp for me and check. Upon checking they told me there was no leak and told me to keep topping it up to which I did. (I didn’t know any better and thought I could trust someone who works with cars every day to give me the correct advice). Came back AGAIN after a few more days as it was drinking coolant. Was told AGAIN to keep topping it up. Very long story short, with me driving around with very low coolant due to the consistent leaking, my head gasket had blown and all together I spent around £400 for them to fit a new one. All because they refused to admit that they hadn’t correctly replaced the water pump which they finally admitted was leaking after me asking them to check it repeatedly. Please don’t waste your time or money going to this mechanics.
Don’t trust these guys at all. Had a problem with my fuel injectors, they gave the car back saying they can’t fix it and was handed back to me with all warning lights on the dashboard. Oil leak also appeared out of nowhere, went back to the garage and they said not their problem and refused to look at it. Communication also a 0, I had to call them multiple times to get an update as it was nearly 2 weeks since they got back to me. Would not recommend at all, stay away.
