The lady in the service was very unwelcome.

Walked into this empty coffee shop to wait for someone, but was swiftly reminded by the staff that “if you sit here, you have to buy something.” Thankfully, I wasn’t even sitting yet, so I appreciate the proactive hostility. My friend, who is far kinder than I am, was persuaded by the friendly and professional customer service to buy a coffee. I tried it too - it tasted like someone asked ChatGPT to generate a generic coffee recipe using printer ink and regret. The place can pretty much be referred to as deserted (wonder why?), but I suppose enforcing imaginary rules to imaginary customers is what keeps the ambience so wonderfully sterile. Bonus points for the staff enforcing profit margins, as it personally affects their paycheck. Heroic stuff. Highly recommended if you’re into artificial flavours, empty seats, and the thrilling ambience of passive aggression.

Staff rudely told me when I was waiting for my colleague "if you sit down here, you have to buy something" while she sitting down on the sofa doing her crossword.

A nice little cafe with lots of comfy sofas or tables and chairs. Very quiet when I went in but it was midmorning. Sandwiches and pastries as well as teas and coffees.

Great for a coffee, tea sandwich. Conviently located as you leave Northwick Park Station, heading for the hospital. Friendly staff and generally a haven away from the hub-bub of Northwick Park Hospital.
