Popped into the new Wine Bar/Shop in Harrogate Town Centre for a quick look & drink on Saturday evening. Amazing. Fabulous decor & atmosphere. Lovely staff. Great selection of wines as you’d expect. The live music was a bonus.
What a great spot to pop into to grab a bottle for dinner or a special event Or to sit down in a corner with a book or at the window seating and watch life go by. My first visit and ended up sharing a bottle of red with business colleagues and friends and loved the vibe they have created. Also amazed at the amount of customers that were popping in for a variety of purchases. A definite must stop when in Harrogate or living in the area.
We hosted an event on Friday evening with Ake and Humphries. The event was in aid of national cheese and wine day. Paul Aunty delivered a talk on the wine selection, which consisted of summery wines that paired perfectly with ‘The Cheeseboard Harrogate’ cheese selection. Thank you, Tara Stagman, for assisting in organising such a fantastic event with me and creating a delicious hamper. On behalf of Howden Insurance, we eagerly anticipate our next collaboration event.

Small shop but stocks a surprisingly varied range at prices which are reasonable for an independent. Staff are readily on hand to offer assistance but perhaps could be a bit more engaging to understand needs better. For a more unique bottle or a gift though it’s a decent place.

Love, Ake & Humphris. Huge range of beautiful wines and beers, from locally sourced to around the globe. Have never had a bad bottle and I am now snapping the ones we love and building up a decent, go-to range. The shop is clean, well managed and completely COVID secure. But above all, is the friendly welcome and knowledgeable staff. Great deals to throughout with the 6+ bottles and select cases. There is a bottle to meet any price point. Highly recommend ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I've been seceral times in this wine shop. Lots of choice of worldwide wines: sparkling of all kinds, good italian reds with some top labels as well! They suggest new arrivals based on your previous purchase:real customer service! Needs a visit!
Is there a better wine beer and spirits shop in Harrogate? Fantastic selection on offer with friendly knowledgeable advice from the owner, I will definitely be back! Highly recommended
