I had an MOT test and left my car there. My car was kept for three days and driven approximately 40 miles without my consent. I was then told it had failed the MOT. I took the vehicle to another garage, where it passed an MOT with no faults whatsoever. Communication was nonexistent and the service was extremely poor. I would not recommend.
Had my cars MOT'd here for years. Always quick and honest about any work needed but most importantly doesn't rip you off.
Avoid at all costs. I had my MOT booked in on a Wednesday, it failed on something that appeared relatively minor and an advisory that he said HAD to be done and wanted £160. He couldn’t fit me in for the repairs until the following week, I then took my car in at 9am as he’d requested only to be told he couldn’t do it as his MOT guy wasn’t there to retest. I was so close to the 10days so I took it to another garage and paid for a second MOT providing the certificate of failures he had given me. It passed its MOT in the other garage and the guy even double checked what it was supposed to have failed on and said there was nothing wrong at all. Absolutely appalling service, zero communication- he had my number he could have called to let me know! And making up issues with my car and telling me I HAD to get something done which wasn’t even a problem in the first place!
Relocating to a new city and discovering a reliable garage can be pretty daunting, especially for someone with limited car knowledge. Furthermore, their assistance was invaluable when purchasing a second-hand car; they meticulously inspected it and advised me on the repairs that could be covered under the warranty.
Used this garage for the first time after comparing quotes from 5+ garages, including my usual one who I've been using for a few years. Front brake pads and discs replaced and MOT complete in a few hours. Excellent service and very friendly mechanics. I will be using this garage again and recommending to friends! Thank you.

Took my car in a few weeks back as my washer jets were broken. Fixed promptly and at a great price. Took back in for MOT today which was done quickly and passed with no hassle. Both my parents have used this garage for a long time and have never had any problems at all so I felt very reassured that the mechanics knew what they were doing and I wouldn't be ripped off. Really nice guys and decent prices!
I take my car here every year for its MOT and service and have only ever had good things to say about it. I don’t even live near Belmont Road but will drive the 6-7 miles solely because I trust them that much. The owner (I think) is absolutely lovely, prices are reasonable and whenever I’ve had parts changed he’s showed me the old part and what was wrong (brake pads etc). As a woman who doesn’t know too much about the mechanics of cars it’s reassuring to have found somewhere I feel I won’t be ripped off and non existent faults found with my car. Thanks so much guys :)
