   I took my car in after it failed its MOT due to the parking brake. They weren’t sure if it was the cable or calipers, but it turned out to be the cable, and the handbrake now works fine. However, when I collected the car, the black undertray beneath the front bumper on the driver’s side was hanging loose and had been cable-tied. I’d recently checked underneath myself when inspecting the front tyres after the MOT advisory, so I know it wasn’t like that before. The passenger side is fine, but the driver’s side is clearly damaged — likely caught on the ramp while they worked on it. When I raised it, I was told I must’ve put the cable ties which is not true. the car is an 04 plate with previous scuffs and bumps. While I don’t deny the car has some scuffs, blaming that when the undertray was fine before felt like a poor excuse instead of taking responsibility. I was polite and just wanted honesty, but it’s clear what happened. Really disappointed by the lack of care and truthfulness. Shame, as I’d used them before and they came recommended. I’d advise checking your car carefully if you use this garage.

   I usually use a Southport branch of a national chain for my MOT but they told me they couldn’t do it on the day I turned up despite booking it well in advance. So I called Auto Services MOT & Tyre Centre and they booked me in for their next available MOT at 4:30pm and had the car back by 5:15pm! Quickest I’ve ever had an MOT done and at £45, cheaper than the national chain. Friendly and professional service - definitely recommend without hesitation.

   Had the best experience here. On the phone, they immediately told me what they thought the issue was, explained everything clearly, gave me a price upfront, and told me to bring it straight in. Every other garage I spoke to either couldn’t fit me in for days or had no idea what the problem might be. When I arrived, they got started straight away. Instead of making me wait for a new part to be ordered, they checked their stock and found exactly what I needed, so the repair was done on the spot. They explained everything as they went along, so there were no surprises. They gave me the best price by far out of every garage I spoke with and had my car back to normal within an hour. I can't recommend them enough, and if I have any issues in the future, I will be coming straight here.
