Writing on behalf of my Mother - I used Betesh Middleton to deal with my late father’s estate. I had to constantly chase for updates after them making multiple mistakes and not having the correct information, which delayed the whole process. My case was dealt with by one trainee after another. When I made any complaint or even queried anything they responded in a rude and patronising manner and never gave any sort of apology. They showed absolutely no compassion and did nothing but add more stress at what was already such a difficult time. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND!!!

DO NOT USE! Patronising, really hard to get to speak to solicitors, they don't get back to you or assume they know what you wanted to say. Akeela is trying to charge us extra after we paid the bill last week because she wished she hadn't accepted the work from her colleague who was on holiday! So many problems, we should be celebrating having completed but they have caused us so much stress and continue to do so.
Nerve rackingly slow and obstructive in in terms of the sale of my house. They worked for my buyers and as a result of slow responses and last minute questions that were answered in the initial paperwork or irrelevant we ended up exchanging and completing on the same day. Horribly stressful for everyone concerned in the chain. All the other solicitors in the chain were exasperated.
I wish I could leave a positive review, but it seems everything went wrong from the very beginning, just starts just because we completed eventually. I started working with Lovetts Solicitors and during my case the practice has merged with Betesh Middleton Low, hence my review is here. My very straightforward, no chain purchase took 4 months and unfortunately all delays were related to my solicitors. Starting from them loosing my driving license in their office, never admitting it and trying to blame me for not posting the license to them instead. Silly me, I should have changed solicitors at that point immediately. All communications were very poor and I had to call their office many times and send endless emails to push things through. And of course, they forgot to notify me in time about merging with another practice, so that they could get my consent and gave me enough time to update my mortgage offer. I had to answer calls from the seller's solicitor and estate agents myself, because they could not reach my solicitors. And now, since a month after my completion, when I tried to email my solicitor to get any information about all paperwork she is supposed to post to me and the money I overpaid and waiting to receive back - I got auto-reply that she is on holiday again for the next week. Oh, well. More waiting and chasing.
We used Betesh Middleton for both buying our new property and selling our old one. We found Saadia to be brilliant to work with. She kept us informed and up to date, chased things when they seemed to be lagging, answered any concerns and queries we had and was very clear about the process. We would really recommend working with her and the branch. I'm not sure our unexpectedly complicated chain would have gone through without her hard work and dedication.
