   My experience with this solicitor was extremely disappointing. I was shocked by the final bill, which far exceeded what I had been led to expect. The initial estimate was vague, and I was not kept properly informed about escalating costs as the case progressed. Ultimately, I felt the fees were completely disproportionate to the level of service provided by Emily Davies. Despite repeated case reviews, key information was still missed—issues that should have been caught early on. This led to senior management getting involved just before our court date, which only added to the already mounting costs. Additionally, they insisted on bringing chaperones from Stowe Family Law to court, further inflating the bill without clear justification. Much of the work, including standard template letters, seemed unnecessarily repetitive, which felt like a tactic to drive up fees. There was a total lack of transparency and fairness in the billing process. I eventually moved to Axis Solicitors, who offered a vastly better experience with a clear, fixed-fee structure. I would strongly recommend looking elsewhere—preferably a local firm—for a more honest and cost-effective service.

   I felt confident in the service received. My divorce settlement was instigated by me and I had to sign a disclaimer as Stowe considered the settlement to be insufficient. I thought they would find some loophole to aid me, although this was probably an unrealistic expectation. It took far longer than I anticipated, however I believe this is normal. The costs were more than expected. However I had every confidence in the lawyers and overall they steered the process through the legal system on my behalf.

   Associate Emily Davies recently handled everything financial on my behalf for my divorce, and it would have been so much more stressful without her on my side. Things didn't always go smoothly, but Emily wasn't fazed by anything. Along with her colleagues, she kept me informed and involved at every step, she was there to answer every and any question, and the wider team at Stowe were all so friendly. Everyone I dealt with was professional, empathetic and always helpful. I felt that they were acting in my best interests, and everything always seemed under control. I wanted the financial documents to be done fairly and properly, and I couldn't be happier with how things have turned out. Thank you, Emily and team!

   Used this firm for my divorce a few years ago. Very professional and had huge confidence in the ability of everyone I came into contact with. Yes they are priced accordingly however, they communicate clearly and only when warranted which meant in the long run, a lot cheaper than other firms. Came via a recommendation and I cannot recommend them more.
