I am currently at risk of losing my sale after 5 months because of Ben Jordan at Collings. There is no chain. Since September he has take up to 7 weeks to respond to the buyer and only after I have threatened to complain. There are queries I raised in November that I have had not had a response too. On Saturday I sent a complaint and I explained that I am autistic, have severe anxiety and am on beta blockers so I cannot take the stress and confrontation and I do not trust Ben. I asked for my file to be reviewed by someone senior to get the transaction on track and said I do not want to deal with Ben anymore. Collings have been silent and I have only got platitudes from Ben and still haven’t had answers to my outstanding queries. Last week he said I need to pay an amount to my freeholder’s agent for information but I cannot get him to confirm how much and what it is for. I had 6 months to complete my sale to a first time buyer and it looks like I am losing it and no one at Collings has even acknowledged my complaint. DO NOT USE COLLINGS SOLICITORS.
Brilliant, from start to finish. I have used solicitors in Altrincham in the past, but they were forgettable at best. Ben knows how to get you moving and genuinely cares about your move, even when we hit some pressure points. I will recommend him to everyone that needs help with conveyancing. Unforgettable service!

I wouldn’t give this firm even so much as 1 star. They have caused me so much stress in the purchase of a property. They have dragged this process out for 5 months bearing in mind I am purchasing an empty property. No returned calls to my estate agents or solicitors. With 2 quick fix small outstanding enquiries the firm refuse to answer (well so it seems). I wish this firm would understand that we are not just files on desks but an actual family with a little baby living out of boxes. We are so close to completing but this firm will do nothing to help. This firm has caused me so much stress and upset it is totally unacceptable.
Laura looked after the conveyancing for my house sale. I have genuinely never known a solicitor be as responsive. Towards the end of the process, things got fraught and I got stressed. Laura never wavered from her professional attitude and did everything she could to help steer the deal to a conclusion in my required timescale. I have absolutely no reservations in wholeheartedly recommending Collings and Laura.
Really happy I chose Collings for our conveyancing during the pandemic. I was concerned as news stories were talking about delays and thought this might take forever. Frank was helpful and reassuring from the start. If I had to find fault, I would say the biggest improvement would be in keeping the customer informed on the progress every step of the way. (although admittedly I am a control freak when it comes FYI property orchard) Even if its just the odd text message or call now and then. Other than that, absolutely amazing and would highly recommend. Will definitely be using again. Managed to complete at the desired time and made sure everything was in place when necessary and all this at the usual cost.
