Tbh I didn't purchase anything as the whole restructuring of the cafe is rubbish. No I definitely do not like what you have done Tesco's in fact it would have been better if you either kept it as it was or let someone else run it.
New Tesco cafe looks very smart clean and tidy nice to see familiar faces I try one afternoon when fatigue to work the new ordering system seems good idea for Tesco Not sure about majority of elderly customers of my age and older tapping on a screen instead of contact with Tesco staff would think of there’ reasons would be to have some interaction and friendly banter probably the road forward as marketing ploy and reduction in staff looking forward to try one day even for my usual cafe flat white £3-70 delivered to my designated table via the autocue
There was no hot food being served shut the kitchen at 12.50 said I could only have what was on the counter which was just cake. Very disappointed my friend was told they where only doing toastie but agreed to do a panini . I got there 10 minute after and she said they had stopped selling hot food there had to be a cut off point. My friend went to go and couldn’t get her trolley out as they had put chairs in the way to stop people coming in. The cafe has gone down hill since it’s been taken over.
Terrible experience: long queue, I waited 45 minutes for my lunch, a cold toast and a cold jacket potato. The staff dont look happy, they don't smile, the furniture looks old and it is messy.
Lovely bright and spacious cafe. Food is delicious. Staff very helpful and polite. Recomend going there for a meal or snack for all age groups. Well done Tesco Cafe.
Very understaffed took 1 hour and 20 mins to queue and have our food at the table. Wont be going again
The cafe was not busy but the dish washer was broken so they served on paper plates with plastic knives and forks....blaaaa! The bacon was over cooked not crispy just tough and fatty. The coffee was good serve exactly as requested. Service was good but food a let down.
