Lovely gents working there for the most part, but they did sometimes fall into the same trap most mechanics fall into, of treating people like they're numbskulls about cars. The work they did was brilliant; I first thought they'd be getting the work done the next day, but they managed to do it the same day and before 3pm. Brilliant service to accommodate my needs. Their reputation proceeds them.
Fantastic! This is the 2nd car I’ve taken to have a clutch changed. The first was for a Peugeot 5008, which they were able to supply the clutch kit & dual mass flywheel & fit.. This time was for a Ssangyong Korando , a make they had never worked on before nor were they able to supply a clutch kit for. I managed to source the full kit including flywheel & they were more than willing & able to carry out the job. On both cars the jobs have been completed the same day. Excellent service & very reasonably priced. I would not hesitate to use their services again.
Another garage had given up on changing the clutch on my Qashqai, because ‘they couldn’t get to a through-bolt without removing the manifolds’. These guys had no problem and sorted it within 4 hours. Also, they didn’t try to sell me a new dual-mass flywheel as it was fine (main dealer definitely would have done so, at an astronomical price). I can’t praise EP Clutch & Gearbox Centre enough. No flashy shop-front, just very knowledgeable and very fair prices.

I had a clutch and gearbox fitted to my daughters Fiat 500,it developed a "Iffy" clutch plate,phone the Boss,he said bring it in and we'll have a look,no fuss,no arguing,bloody great service,left the car with him,sorted next day new plate, job done. Need my gearbox and clutch doing and a mechanic I use recommended these chaps. Car went in on Thursday am and was ready to collect Friday am. My Transit clutch exploded and these guys came highly recommended and I can see why. The price was quoted on the phone (a lot cheaper than some) they only use the best parts. No cheap Chinese rubbish here Booked the van in and was told another bearing had gone too and it was only another £40 and I'm grateful they told me about this ... They treated me very well and explained everything clearly and all the options and nothing was too much trouble and I was given loads of great advice too .... I went to collect the van and was asked to go for a quick test drive...Wow,the van actually drove far better than it ever did since I had it . I was over the moon with the price, the work and the professionalism shown too This is the ONLY place I will now use for doing clutches.. Love driving my van again ....
