   Even a star doesn't deserve. Customer service 0, the staff doesn't know to say even a good morning. Destroying the day from the early hours. Everyone need an training

   I have always had a not so good experience when visiting the barking branch but today was particularly bad. I ordered a medium iced matcha with oat milk and vanilla flavour. The barista made the drink so carelessly that half the matcha was spilled and all over the cup - she handed this to me wet and carelessly. I asked her to add more matcha as the drink just looked like oat milk with a dash of matcha. The barista and her colleague laughed and showed me their measuring cup and assured me that I didn’t need any more matcha - ignoring the fact that she had spilled so much and that the drink evidently looked like oat milk and a tinge of green. I told them I would even pay for an extra shot and only then they added a tad more matcha to an even more wet cup. At that point I just asked for napkins and left. This is not on and needs to be addressed with the staff.

   The staff at this Costa are generally lovely, but there’s one older lady (possibly Eastern European) who consistently makes my visits unpleasant. Today, I had only been there about 7 minutes, setting up to do some work, when she approached me in a very passive-aggressive manner. She told me I could only stay if I bought something immediately, even though I explained that I usually purchase after finishing some work. She ignored everything I said and went on to state I could only stay 30 minutes. I left right away because the situation felt belittling and embarrassing, especially since it was made into a scene. This has only ever happened at the Barking branch, and only with this individual. The rest of the team are always polite and provide great customer service, which makes this treatment stand out even more.

   Popped in this morning to get a berry cooler to take the edge off this heatwave. Service was quick and friendly and I was in an out in no time at all. Is worth noting that there is a step into the store. I was with a wheelchair user but was in a rush so didn't try to get them into the store so apologies if a ramp is available on request. If it is it may be worth replying to this for future reference for others as well as myself. Reading older reviews I wasnt sure what to expect but I genuinely couldn't fault the staff at all and will absolutely be stopping by again if I'm in that part of town

   When I walked in, I was truly impressed by the energy and dedication of the staff. I had to sit here for about two hours while waiting for my spouse, and during that time, I observed how hardworking the team was. One male staff member in particular caught my attention with the way he cleaned and took out the trash. At the same time, the lady inside was carefully cleaning and organizing the coffee machines. Their teamwork and commitment to their tasks really stood out to me. It’s genuinely rare these days to come across people who work with such care and professionalism. I didn’t want to keep these positive thoughts to myself, so I chose to write them down here. Thank you for the excellent service. A special thanks to the kind, dark-haired gentleman with the warm smile — I was too shy to ask for his name, but his efforts did not go unnoticed.

   Worst experience in costa coffee!!. Costumer service super rude, we ordered 2 lattes (they din’t have oat, almond milk) and iced tea at 20:30 on the 10/01/2023. We asked for extra milk in one of our lattes because it was made wrong and a worker with red hair started to complain that next time we order it single shot of coffee when it should be her business of how i want to drink my coffee. And the cleaning of the sitting area was really poor, there was coffee on the floor. And it is the WORST area to be sitting in a coffee shop, in the 10 minutes we sat drinking coffee 3 beggars came in and no worker said anything and then a group of boys were fighting with knifes outside the store.

   Everytime I go I dread to see the red head lady with glasses at the till.. she is so rude and unprofessional. It's as if she hates her job and her life. She makes you wait and when taking order she talks rudely with you. This is not how you treat your customers. New review - Worst coffee ever! This is my second or third time in Costa, thought I'll give them another chance but I'm definetly not coming back. I've always had immaculate drinks from other costa branches but this one doesn't meet the standards. My latte was so bitter and didn't taste nothing like the one I get in other branches. The staff are not welcoming at all . Thought I'll get better service from last time as I've seen different staffs today but the girl that made my latte, she quickly made it and served me cos she was in rush to go on her break.. So as I was waiting for my toastie to get served I went to get sugar as I've come back, I found my toastie right on the counter. The communication from these staff are non existant. The other girl didn't even call out to say my toastie is ready and it wasn't even busy. There's no greeting from the start and no thank you or goodbye. I work with customers and no matter what we always make sure we provide excellent customer service and that our customers are leaving happy and satisfied.

   Served cold caramel latte. Almond cake was not fresh at all. You need a strong teeth to break that cake. Will not recommend This place at all. It’s so dirty place to sit and eat. Will never go there again my advise avoid this costa if you can.

   Quite attractive inside, very tempting selection of cakes and a range of drinks. Wifi provided which is useful. But, what is really scored on my memory about my recent visit here is the disgusting toilet, I thought I was going to pass out with the pungent urine stench when I opened the door: disgusting! Urine all over the floor..... The price of Costa's drinks keeps escalating, even a mini latte (smaller than a 'small') is £2.65 now, very expensive for a average-tasting small-sized coffee (the 'cost price' of the ingredients is about 20p!): better-tasting lattes usually available from independent coffee shops.
