   A Hidden Gem for a Post-Walk Refuel! After a lovely long walk through the beautiful trails of Hainault Forest Country Park with the family and our dog, we stopped at the Global Cafe near the main entrance on Romford Road. What a pleasant surprise! The cafe has a welcoming, no-fuss vibe – perfect for muddy boots and tired legs. We grabbed some hot drinks, chips (which were crispy and delicious – highly recommended!), and a few snacks from their extensive menu. Everything was fresh, well-prepared, and reasonably priced. There are plenty of options for different dietary needs, and the staff were super friendly and efficient, even on a busy day. It’s conveniently located right by the parking and the farm area, with outdoor seating to enjoy the forest views. Great for families, dog walkers, or anyone needing a quick bite. We’ll definitely be back – it’s the ideal spot to recharge before heading home. Highly recommend if you’re visiting the park! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

   I've been here a few times after I've taken my dog around the forest for a walk, the last experience was absolutely awful and think the owner needs to talk to their employees. At my last visit I ordered some chips and a ham & cheese toastie, the ladies prior to me had ordered some chips too. The man gave the ladies before us their order, the chips were cheesy chips which isn't what the ladies ordered, he was quite rude saying they had ordered cheesy chips but he replaced them without escalating the situation. Next he had my order ready but he had given me cheesy chips (looked suspiciously like the lady's order before me as we were sat at the same table), I went back and politely told the man I had ordered normal chips. He got very rude, aggressively threw the cheesy chips in the bin saying that he would be wasting product and that I had definitely ordered cheesy chips. I have anxiety disorder, someone throwing stuff aggressively and suddenly shouting made me start shutting down and go into freeze mode (I have been assaulted by men, and I'm a 5 foot tiny very young looking woman, I felt very vulnerable and scared by his actions and tone).Obviously he didn't know me so he wouldn't know I would never order cheesy chips, I don't like it and never have. He changed his tone very quickly when my mum came up to the window telling him to check his tone and that I would never order cheesy chips, she was quite rightly angry that this man was having a go at me when all I did was tell him he gave me the wrong order. He checked his tone after my mum told him and made me some normal chips. I understand the frustration but I was nowhere near rude, easy mistake to make and upon further inspection I think I know the reason behind the mistake which was neither of our faults, there was no need to get rude and irate with me. When looking at my receipt it had the price of normal chips but said cheesy chips, (There is about £2 difference between the two) so I believe there was a system error especially since the same thing had happened to the ladies before myself (Her receipt said the same thing and had normal chips price). He kept quiet while my mum, dog and I sat there eating our food chatting. The food is good, something nice after a big walk, but not worth going back especially after how we were treated. Go to the cafe at the farm, much nicer and won't shout at you. It isn't acceptable to shout at your customers whether frustrated or not, some deep breaths and assessing the situation would've shown the potential in the system. Instead he scared me, upset my mum who obviously doesn't want to see her daughter getting flashbacks to violent situations, and upset the patrons who were also at the cafe too (the ladies who we were sat with had 3 children under the age of 3).

   This place is great, lovely walks through the woods and around the lake, toilets nearby. You can go on the little train, dog friendly. Plenty of greenery,you could spend hours over here. 2 car parks.

   First time visiting the park, and found this lovely café which a had huge selection of food. We had a halloumi mushroom and spinach wrap, and a hot dog with onions. Great service, hot, fresh and tasty food. Good coffee too! Recommended.

   I decided to leave a review as noticed an improvement in their coffee. As others have said, previously coffee and hot chocolate felt watered down, but had latte and cappuccino today, both were pretty good. The service was a bit slow, but pretty happy overall as love a good coffee whilst going for a walk.
