   Is this company legitimate? Arrived on time. Cash only. No card payment. No tap and go. No VAT receipt ( only hand written) . Had to drive us to a cash machine so we could pay. Driver could not tell us who he worked for. Appears very dodgy. Avoiding tax & VAT ??????

   I ordered a taxi today from my app account, I ordered the taxi to pick me up from Aldi in Ashton and drop me at home, a 5 minute drive. The taxi drive assigned to me clearly picked up a new fare and didnt even cancel my order with him as I saw him on the map driving away from my destination and heading towards manchester airport. I uninstalled the app and ended up ordered an uber, ive just received the invoice for this supposid trip I took and decided I wanted to make a complaint against the driver. Yes my fare was only going to be between £3.50-£4.50 but regardless of the price the driver should have either committed to the passenger he agreed to take on or atleast cancel my fare before picking up someone new who clearly had a bigger fare to pay. I am disabled and have mobility issues, I was stood waiting for 20 minutes before I got a notification that my driver will be with me in 15 minutes which confused me, he had left me waiting whilst taking the other fare, that's when I noticed he was heading towards manchester Complete joke!

   Terrible service ordered a taxi a hour and half before did not arrive phoned up it's on the way 15 minutes later phoned up where is my taxi I was told it's just around the corner 20 minutes later no taxi phoned up again on Where is my taxi we are just trying to get a driver. Don't use this company they just lie to you, certainly don't book them for a airport fun you will probably miss your flight

   Would score a 0 if I could, have started charging people £3 if you need to cancel your cab, girls in the office don’t give a shit and trying to talk to a manager is a laugh… most of the drivers do not speak proper English so don’t understand anything, drivers also cancel jobs last minute if they get a better job that pays more, I will never use these shysters ever again! Edited to say: Use Call a Car instead! 20p more expensive but definitely more reliable, the drivers speak good English and the people on the phones when you order are really nice… Tameside Taxi’s need investigating as they take your money when you haven’t even got into a car that THEY CANCELLED… Honestly take my word DO NOT USE TAMESIDE TAXIS

   The company went through a significant improvement compared to a few years ago when ordering the taxi from them was quite a gamble. Being back to using them for the past year or so and majority of the times they are time efficient and the current operators are reasonably knowledgeable on the areas they do cover. There is a room for improvement but didn’t have a significantly unpleasant experience with them for a while now. Sometimes they do cancel a taxi, but they do resolve it rapidly. If you are running late when this happens, that can be a problem. Their taxis are in a good shape and clean and drivers are polite and always asked you about your preferred route. There is a possibility that other people may going to have a different experience. I’m talking from the position of a long term customer and my current address is registered in their system. Their office is not far from the Ashton market, just a minute walk. You can order a taxi straight from there and pay a fixed price upfront if you choose to do so. They currently do not accept cards, so have a cash ready if you can to save you the trouble of stopping at the cash point. Overall, a decent taxi service. Would say it’s the best in comparison to others in Ashton under Lyne area.

   I ordered and paid for a return taxi to take us into Manchester and back home again. The taxi down was fine but coming back the taxi didn’t turn up. After ringing the office to find out where our taxi was, we were told quite bluntly that our taxi wouldn’t be arriving as due to it being New Years Eve. I had booked and paid for this in advance, if they didn’t have the capacity then they should’ve taken the booking. So in essence they left a disabled woman using two walking sticks in the middle of Manchester at 2am in the morning. I had to get a black taxi at an extra cost of £50……dreadful staff attitude and dreadful service !!! I will never use them again and pass the experience onto friends and relatives

   Great driver, helpful, polite, pleasant, easy to have a conversation with. Asked for an estate car, but operator did not book it in as an estate job, luckily the item I was collecting fit in the boot. 5 stars + for the driver, a credit to the company. 3 stars for the operator as car was on time.

   Arrived exactly on time (booked over the phone). Friendly driver, got me to my train on time - although didnt accept card. Will definitely use again I've tried scheduling ahead on apps and drivers have always turn up late. Booking via the office is by far the best way to guarantee a taxi for a certain time.

   Taxi was good on the way to my destination. Driver was polite and chatty. On my my return I found I had to rush as the driver was beeping his horn and wasn't giving me chance to come out of the door. I felt rushed then when i was trying to open the mini bus door the driver was impatient because I couldn't do it and he kept saying pull and slide I eventually did it. Whilst in the mini bus I found the driver miserable and didn't make any conversation at all.

   Fantastic effort. I had broken my clavicle and needed a taxi asap. As it was 05.45am the operator said it was going to be 40 minutes, but he would try to get someone over sooner. The cab arrived ten minutes later. The return from A&E at Tameside hospital also arrived within minutes. Both drivers were pleasant and sympathetic.
