    Further to my review 10days ago, the team at Lynx Taxis reached out and my issues were addressed and resolved promptly and professionally. As such, i'd like to thank Derek for his assistance resulting in a satisfactory outcome and the prompt attention. As service should be. ~~~~~~~~~ During our 2 day stay in Stockport we used Lynx Taxis on 3 occasions. The first 2 were excellent service and the company very easy to use, with good and detailed contact. Unfortunately our return journey this evening from Lapland UK to the Travel Lodge in Stockport resulted in us being charged £77, which we questioned!! The journey there was £44!!!! As a result of this I dont think i would use Lynx Taxis again.

    Booked 2 taxis to take us home from Manchester on 19th December with 2 drops for one or the taxis & 3 for the other. Drivers arrived bang on time, called to give registration numbers & exact location. Drivers were really polite, our driver was very chatty & had no problem with us changing the order of the drop-offs. Excellent communication & service.

    Pre-booked a taxi over an hour in advance and had the confirmation text saying that my taxi has been booked. Didn’t turn up. Called them and was told that as it was a busy hour they cannot guarantee a car and that I can’t pre-book. Why have this feature and confirm bookings if they can’t fulfil??! Left me and my family waiting outside for one. He said that he’d send one now and it’ll be with us in ten minutes. Fifteen minutes later I call them back as nothing has arrived. Was told that I don’t have a booking!! He said he’ll send one and it’ll be here in ten minutes. Ten minutes later I call them as nothing has arrived. Was told that he was on his way to us. Again…nothing arrives. I call them again and told that as it’s busy our driver just has to make a couple more drop offs and will be with us. This is now thirty minutes after the time I booked/needed it for. I tell them to cancel it. They left six of us waiting in the cold - including two 80 year olds! I had to drive to the restaurant we’d booked, meaning that I wasn’t able to have a couple of drinks and had to do two trips to get us all there and back. This was my first time using Lynx and it will absolutely be my last. The service was unreliable, dishonest, and totally incompetent. I have never experienced such poor communication from a taxi company and cannot rate them low enough. You do not need any further information from me Lynx therefore I will not be emailing you if I’m preempting your reply to this. There is no other information I can give you.

    You book online and get a confirmation… after you call them when the taxi hasn’t arrived they tell you that booking on line is no guarantee of a taxi and 15 minutes after the booking time they start to look for a taxi for you. THEN WHY TAKE BOOKINGS AND SEND A CONFIRMATION TEXT?!?!?! DO NOT USE - how can anyone consider that as a useable service?!?!? Before you respond to this Lynx, you don’t need any further detail as this is a system you have set up so don’t reply to this review saying you need a little more detail as this is the second time you have done this and I’ve only ever tried to use you TWICE in three years - this is a policy you clearly have and it’s RUBBISH

    First experience of Lynx Taxis this morning. It was very cold and frosty when I needed to get to an appointment. The booking operator was helpful and booked the car immediately. Within 6 minutes the car arrived. I was kept informed of progress and told the reg and detail of the car. The driver was polite and kind. Amazing service. Thank you very much. I will definitely use again.

    Booked a taxi through there app from Birch vale to disley. App said would be about 15 minutes, I understand it may take a bit longer to get a driver, However kept getting a message to say 'we know you are waiting for a taxi, please bare with us whilst we assign you a driver'. Off 3 different numbers I may add. Only to be sat here waiting for 1 hour with no extra communication to then get a message to say that they had cancelled my journey without any prior notification. I would accept if they had rung up after 30 minutes and said we can't get a driver, however 1 hour and to just cancel via a text message I find disrespectful and very unprofessional. A service I was going to start using again quite regular, however i will now never be using lynx taxis again after they have ruined my night!!!!!

    Quoted £5.00. Charged £7:70. Driver had no real idea of destination and as I had never been we got within a couple minutes walk of where I needed to be. Accurate pricing would be good. I was also left standing around in the rain waiting for return driver as he seemed unsure of actual pick up point. Maybe add a noted section on booking app for specific pick up or drop off point information

    Shocking on all levels tonight. Booked taxis a week in advance. Got a text at collection time.."We know you are waiting and we appreciate your patience. We are working hard to assign you a driver. Thank you for your custom. Lynx Taxis" I called them and was advised about 10 minutes. Then 20 minutes later I got the same text as above Thought the whole idea of pre booking was you had priority booking. We had a booking and they were going to turn up too late to get us there so cancelled on a phone call. To then have them call 30 minutes later saying did we still need the taxi!!??!! I drove myself in the end. Shocking service.... and for the 3rd time it didn't go right. I won't be using ever again. Have to say that the lady I spoke too came in on her shift to find out despite calling in to cancel our booking it was showing still live and understand it wasn't her fault . Communication should be much better in the office ...
