   The journey went well and we had quite a good chat on the way, however when we arrived at the destination the driver said he didn't take a credit card at the weekend. Fortunately I had enough cash on me. I didn't understand his explanation for this. At the time of booking the company needs to make it clear credit cards are not accepted. What would happen when the destination is reached and the passenger had no cash?! One wonders why? I assume its not because cash doesn't have to be included in income!!

   Excellent service. Updates on booking, despatch and arrival of taxi was reassuring for a 3:30am journey to the airport. Driver was friendly and professional. Would definitely use Goodwins again. When booking, ask for a driver with a card payment device if that's how you want to pay.

   Terrible experience. When I refused to pay the driver up front he kicked me out into the pouring rain. I'm not handing money over to anyone until I'm at my destination. He also claimed to have no capacity to take card payment, this is 2025 and he's the first driver I've encountered in years who hasn't got one. Very dodgy.

   Doesn’t even deserve a star. The driver drove at 20mile to run up the tariff. What would cost 12£ each time I do the journey cost me 20.10£. This is why people prefer Uber and it’s what I’ll use from now on. On the Uber website it’s 10.63£

   Driver was polite and did a good service. However Goodwin, much like Scott'scars, suffers from a situation where their service fails to notify a user if a driver is on the way or arrived, leading to confusion and when other methods are sought out and they arrive 15 minutes later.

   Went to them tonight, and while I usually get good service off of them they would not offer me who is vulnerable with my laptop and expensive belongings in bag, a place as I was short by £3. I had the rest of the sum up front and I used to use them on a daily basis but tonight they left me out in the cold literally. Disgusting.

   I pre booked in the app. My taxi didn’t arrive. I had prepayed in the app using Apple Pay. The driver said it was a cash payment not prepayed, despite my banking app showing the payment. Apparently there is a new app, and the pending payment will not be taken. I have followed the link to the new app. It is android only so I can’t use it. This used to be such a reliable taxi company…

   Overall the service is good but today, 7 Nov, took 3 minutes or longer to get driver assigned via the app from Egerton Road South. Booked with agent as even the automatic phone booking did not work. On return from Ashleigh vet, had same problem being unable to book driver via the app, again took approx. 3 minutes. Thanks
