Ordered from 'Minicabs', got a driver and feedback request text from 'Mainline'. Taxi cab was smelly and poorly maintained. I had given the destination address- including postcode to both the phone operator and taxi driver and yet the taxi driver went completely the wrong way despite having his SatNav on. He had to turn off the main road that was a straight line route to my destination to achieve this feat and he took the long way round to getting us back on track. He made me feel as if I should be greatful for not being charged more as he knocked off some chump change to 'apologise' - despite the fact that the fare was still an astonishing £5 more my usual cost (hitting me for approx 30% extra like another reviewer had been). He made me late for an important meeting at work and I had to take a zoom call qith my managet whilst in the back. At least he said "Have a nice day" after he ruined it.
Not always reliable particularly during school run times.
I wished I trusted my gut instincts to NOT use this mini cab company due to the numerous bad reviews it had, because the annoyance and frustration was just not worth it. I booked a cab the night before to ensure my daughter’s made it in time for school. The cab didn’t arrive at the time I booked it for and instead they arrived 25 mins late. The small talk that the driver decided to have with me during the journey was to lecture me about booking a cab during the school run and to top it all off my daughter was late to her induction! Save yourself any aggravation and use another company instead.
I would leave no stars if possible they put in wrong pick up location called back few times kept answering then phone down on me, then said they can't do it, disgrace!!!!
I used to use this company to get to work in a morning. Being charged a reasonable £5/£6 which I don't mind. Until recently I booked the taxi as usual and to my surprise was charged nearly £7 for the exact same journey!. Even by paying with thr registered card it's almost £8. For a 5 minuite drive is horrific. DO NOT RECOMMEND.
