I went to this garage for a brake issue and paid to have the pads replaced and the calipers adjusted. A few months later, the same problem returned. I then found out that the brake discs were worn enough that they should have been replaced at the same time as the pads. This wasn’t picked up during the first visit, which meant the new pads wore out very quickly. Another garage showed me that the discs had a clear gouge in them, and I had to replace both discs and pads again at my own expense after only about 1,500 miles. For context, brakes normally last tens of thousands of miles, so this level of wear was very unexpected. Based on this experience, I don’t feel the work was carried out thoroughly, and I wouldn’t return.

Took my van to wrights auto centre after just purchasing it from another garage which needed a wheel alignment, Andy fitted me in a short notice and completed the work to a high standard and now my van drives perfect.
After visit it looks like a joke. I found this garage through book my garage website to do front wheels alignment on 12.03.25. I went over there 12.03.25 and alignment was done. After this service and short test drive (done by a person who performed this service to me) mechanic told me that car is going left, steering wheel is not straight and major repair have to be done for steering system and after consultation with somebody else (owner??) the price was set £150+VAT per side (pretty pricey I thought, as I have some idea about part prices and labour). I politely said that I just have changed wishbones (hence alignment needed) and do not have money. No printout was given to me from alignment or invoice just receipt from credit card (paid £35 for this service). Driving home car was really going left when steering wheel was straight (it was not like that before at all). I have a friend who is a car mechanic and is located in other part of the country - he knows my car:). Next day I went to another garage (that was my first choice anyway but I chose Wrights because of price plus I thought it was hard to do it wrongly - it has had never happened to me that after alignment car behaved like that (: 13.03.2025 I went for another wheel alignment (repair if necessary) to another, known to me, garage in my area. Without excessive description- alignment was done (it turned out that steering system was fine). Printout (from test) and invoice given to me without any repetitive asking. I am attaching printout from alignment 13.03.25 showing what was before and after alignment. Car is driving as it should now, no issues I do not recommend.

MOT Andrew was very accommodating; he fitted my car in for a MOT at short notice. He was helpful and friendly and has promised to contact the Driver & Vehicle Standards agency to notify them an error in my previous MOT certificate. His premises are the most tidy and cleanest I have visited.
