   I recently had a very delicate antique black forest clock picked up from auction, packed and shipped with this company and it was one of the best jobs of packing I have seen. I buy clocks at auction frequently from around the world and one of the most difficult parts is having them packed correctly and with care. Pack & Send in Salford Quays know what they are doing and this particular clock arrived in perfect condition from the UK to Australia. I thoroughly recommend them for your packing and shipping requirements.

   Excellent service. We had someone package up computer equipment to send. When Pack & Send collected them they informed me that they were insufficiently packed and provided photographs which showed how woeful the packing was. They offered to unpack the items and repack them correctly and when I received them the other end I was extremely pleased with how well they were packed. You could have dropped the box and the items inside would have been fine. High quality service.

   ⚠️ WARNING: AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS ⚠️ I shipped speakers, a computer monitor, and other personal items from England to Macedonia. I was promised delivery within 5 days — it’s now Day 11, and I’ve just been told I’ll need to wait at least another 4 days. I only found this out by contacting the shipment team in Macedonia myself, not through the company I paid. I paid for a door-to-door service, yet now I’m being told I must either pay extra fees or collect my shipment from a random warehouse in Macedonia. Absolutely unacceptable. The communication throughout this entire process has been disastrous. • Jabir, who claims to be the manager, is completely unprofessional, defensive, and dismissive. When I raised concerns, he shouted over me, refused to answer questions, and even said, “I don’t want to.” This is not how a manager should behave and I am sure Jabir has some kind of mental retardation. I am not a doctor and I could be wrong but something definitely isn’t right. • Jonnie started out helpful but soon began ignoring calls and giving vague, repetitive updates like “I’ll call you back soon” or “we’re on the phone to them right now” — yet no one ever called back. It became clear he had no idea where my shipment actually was. When I asked to escalate the issue, I was told to contact Phil in Reading, only to discover that he’s just another franchise owner with no real authority to resolve complaints. At every stage, I was misled, ignored, and left to chase updates myself. What should have been a simple international delivery turned into a stressful, time-consuming ordeal. I strongly advise anyone considering this company to go elsewhere — they overpromise, underdeliver, and take no responsibility when things go wrong. At the time of this review I still don’t have my shipment and Pack & Send manager Jabir confidently told me I would have it tomorrow despite me being told as an absolute fact that I will not have my shipment until Thursday at the earliest. Over 15 days to deliver a promised 5 day delivery.

   I must say, this Pack & Send run by Jabir Mana is absolutely the worst packing and shipping company around. They supposedly are "experts" in the Packing and Shipping of antiques, but from my personal experience, they are truly unqualified to pack fragile antiques. I won a very beautiful and large Japanese porcelain jar from Hutchinson Scott Limited auction house. They only list this Pack and Send on their shippers, which is a VERY BIG mistake and impacts their credibility of finding good, trusted and competent shippers to list. I've been buying these kinds of fragile antiques for over 20 years, so I know about proper packing and shipping methods. I did my due diligence and believed what was assured to me by Jabir. After getting my quotes and looking at the packing method, I chose this Pack & Send and it was a HUGE mistake. My beautiful piece arrived here in pieces due to the lack of sufficient packing/cushioning materials for its long journey from the UK to Japan. NO cushioning on the bottom and the piece moved around freely in the box. Take a look at the photos and see how much space there was inside the parcel itself. Since I have been doing this for a long time, I've learn to photo document the entire process from the initial condition of the parcel itself before the step by step unpacking. FedEx had to send an inspector out to my residence, since the piece was pricey. He took photos and looked at everything and stated that there was insufficient packing materials. After all this and waiting a VERY LONG time for my refund, I was ONLY refunded the cost of the item and NOT the expensive shipping cost. Jabir stated that it's in their policy. What the heck, this truly means the company doesn't take a loss for anything because the keep the packing and shipping charges. I've NEVER had this happen to me the very FEW times something was damaged during transport. I was always refund the TOTAL cost paid including the packing and shipping charges. With that said, anyone who is considering using this Pack & Send to pickup, Pack and send your fragile antiques to you, please READ this post. I've kept Hutchinson Scott Limited in the loop throughout this entire ordeal and hope that they will RECONSIDER having this Pack & Send on their website. It's a disservice to their clients to have such a TERRIBLE and UNQUALIFIED packing and shipping company on their shipper list. I'll let the photos speak as evidence to backup my post. My wonderful antique that survived over 100+ years is now in the trash landfill somewhere here in Japan. What an ABSOLUTE shame and it's all because of this Pack & Send. I'm super broken hearted over the loss of such a beautiful piece. I, too, read all the reviews before making an informed decision. I hope this post helps you. I had to wait a bit to post this because I needed time to calm down and post without feeling so much anger.

   I recently had to transport three large instruments from the UK to the US and had a great experience using Pack & Send, Salford Quays. The instruments were picked up in the UK in their flight cases and then packaged in additional packing and delivered to my door in the US. Everything was packed really well and the instruments arrived without any damage. I had been hesitant about transporting these items and kept putting it off, but I'm happy that everything made it quickly and without damage. Deborah (and everyone else on the team that emailed) were super responsive and helpful, including sending me the relevant Customs forms I needed to fill out. If I need anything else sending in the future I'll be using Pack & Send again!

   I needed to get an unboxed large piece of Lladro from a Manchester auction house to Hampshire. Pack and Send were recommended. I had a phone call with Dave Milsom, their auction specialist, apart from being great fun and friendly, he was extremely helpful and reassuring. The item was collected, packed, dispatched and delivered exactly to schedule. On opening the box I was amazed, the Lladro piece was in a foam mould and bubble wrap. It was so secure and simply the best packaging I have seen. Thanks to Dave and his colleagues for the best service Patrick Roberts

   I used Pack and Send to deliver my Mac computer from Blackburn UK to Berlin. I paid £295 for the delivery. But I was shocked to find I had to pay €572 for Duty Tax in order for them to release it or it would have been returned back to the UK. I would have liked to have been informed of these costs beforehand. Hence the 3 stars. I emailed them to tell them Thankyou for warning me about the high Duty Tax costs and I received an email back telling me quote: "Good Morning Michelle, We are actively tracking your shipment and noticed a “delivery not accepted” scan on the tracking, we have contacted DHL for a status update. DHL have informed us that the recipient ______________ has refused delivery as “it was not ordered by him”  It was delivered to the correct address. The shipment has gone back to the local delivery depot. Please could you advise the way forward, we can re-arrange delivery but we need to know if the consignee will accept delivery". .... which was a lie and totally unprofessional. It was unprofessional of them for not telling me about the additional charges that would occur once it arrived in Germany too. My partner paid the €572 duty tax on it the day after he received the email and the email was a complete fabrication for which they had no real answer for or even tried to answer. Please be aware when shipping abroad of high Duty Tax payments. Thankyou Brexit. Apart from that, my Mac has arrived in Berlin, speedy delivery and thank god not damaged. I do have some artwork I would like to have shipped to Berlin too but I need to try and find out what the Duty Tax charges will be. As it's cost me £800 to send my Mac from UK to Berlin. ** edit My partner has opened the package to check It's not damaged inside etc.... It's fine. I had the original box and the styrofoam in the box so really I packed it professionally myself... Can't get any better than that.
