   ***HONEST AND GENUINE EXPERIENCE*** Shocking place. Last year I was here and couldn't get paid right. Every week wrong even though it was salaried. And they say it's right, or yes it's wrong but you have to wait 2 weeks to sort. And they sort and then that weeks pay is wrong and the cycle continues. So I quit, took them to court, 2x ccjs against them, head of hr and their legal advisor quit shortly after and I got paid. Went back in May 2025 as the job itself is great, no handball, no stores just RDC's and backing onto bay to be unloaded or some sites electric pump truck but easy enough. Pay issue seems to have sorted itself but the place is a joke and chaos. No driver trainer, sometimes no shunter, constant management changes (as they use it to climb the ladder and go somewhere better) transport dont have a clue about hours or planning and want you to take unroadworthy trucks out or go over your legal hours. Too many 15 hour days. Even when you tell them in advance you will run out of hours they ignore it and tell you to wait and then say they will rescue you (meaning they will send someone an hour or two after the 15 hours to bring you back to the depot to get your car home and if you put your card in to download you get infringement and if you don't you don't get paid) Shocking trucks and all the new trucks are given to drivers that smash them up and the good nice drivers dont get them because staff know they wont complain. Management don't care and are useless. No respect for drivers or consequences. They have a recruitment company that was dissolved/ liquidated Dec 2024 and they are still employing staff through that company! Every year is the same issues and nothing changes. Car has been vandalised twice in their "secure" carpark and hit whilst parked by another member of staff and then they tell you none of the cctv cameras work. Only other good thing is the office leaves you alone when you're out but when you want help they ignore you. If I could give 0 stars I would. To summarise great easy job but hardest part is getting a truck that is safe, getting your trailer and getting out the depot as well as the politics with the office. They put you, your licence and the public at risk every day. Worst part, they don't care.

   I had an excellent experiance here. I had a driving assessment and the staff were brilliant I only coverd 3 shifts . Due to me taking a wrong turn and following the.lorry sat nav. They let me go. But as I say I can't fault the staff .they are brilliant

   Avoid at all cost.... Unless the want costs. Don't pay you correctly, constantly chasing up missing hours. Every driver is new which says it all. After 30 years in the hgv game I haven't come across a worse company. Not to mention the condition of the trucks! Every truck has more light on it than a Christmas tree. Don't waste your time here!!

   Not a good place to work,avoid as much as you possibly can,night shift is a complete shambles,hence why everyone wants to leave or has left,avoid mandeep at all costs,likes to single people out and abuse his power as a manager As much as possible,romac was a decent company to work for until he came along and ruined everything,which everyone will tell you if you ever come to work on nights.If you have any issues on nights speak to Paul,he’s bang on and Luke,but anyone else,I wouldn’t even bother,I’d be suprised if the place is still open another year

   I do not recommend this company to work, the equipment is a scrap that shines all the controls. They say shifts are 12 hours and you have to work 15 hours or stay overnight in a truck !

   AVOID AT ALL COST'S YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED. work for them PAYE, they take money from your wages for taxes but they won't pay a penny to HMRC, it clearly shows been deducted from wages on your payslip which emailed to you. If your leaving i highly recommend taking 2 weeks holiday & never give any notice, just leave & don't go back so they can't keep your last working weeks wages, & take all holidays before you leave as they won't pay you for any they owe you. Multiple warning lights on dash ABS warning light & traction control warning lights on when not even connected to a trailer, windscreen washers that don't work even if washer bottle is full & heaters that don't work. Tyres are in dangerous condition damaged side walls / low tread & cords showing. Expect you to exceed legal driving & working hours law's & take your breaks on loading bays, as they don't allow you time on the run sheets. They will not pay for parking so don't pay for it as you will never get it back.

   Avoid!! They do not follow covid rules. My brother worked for this company and they do not pay you correctly. If you need to be back on time at home; they will randomly tell you to night out when there is no need. The staff here speak to you like dirt. Very poor conditions of trucks and no matter how hard you work, this will not get recognised. Carl and Charlie are really understanding guys but other members of staff are useles. They do not care about your safety and only care about revenue. They will tell you to drive trucks with amber and red warning lights on. They will then threaten you if you do not drive their trucks. The structure top down is abysmal and you should not work here. The only pro is the parking and some of the office staff. The whole operations around the gatehouse is a shambles. Romac do not follow the correct procedures. Do not work here you will not enjoy it. They will get your hopes up by selling you a dream. They are scandalous
