Just a perfectly normal pub. Was lucky to meet a bunch of the locals. No food but a great place for a drink away from hotel bars.

Well lit pub with their specialty being “black rock” grill, which is essentially cook it yourself steak on a hot rock. Decent prices and the specials (ie mega steak 24 oz with pint/wine for approx 25 pounds) are somewhat of a good deal, albeit a massive amount of food. Steak was unseasoned/non-marinated so don’t expect much in terms of additional flavours. Service: ok.

Nice pub for dinner. I was with some coworkers during bussines travel. I ordered a 16oz rump steak served in Hot black Stone + 1 pint of carling for 23£. Good prize compared with the hotels in bath Road. The staff is very friendly and so kind.

Staying at a local hotel to get to the Airport first thing tomorrow and stumbled on this gem! We were looking for somewhere which was playing the football, which it was, and we were hoping for decent food... Which again, it really was. They predominantly serve black rocks steaks where you cook them at your table and they were exceptional (other options are available). Alongside this, the service was fantastic - very friendly and helpful (especially with the black rock cooking). Fantastic value for money too! Highly recommended!!

Super authentic waiter (Luke) and great authentic atmosphere. A gem among pubs in this area. Highly recommend as an escape from your hotel restaurant.
