A wonderful old fashioned welcoming pub, excellent service terrific beer, I had Haunted, I can't remember the brewer, sorry. The food was simply the best Indian style meal I've had in decades. Hopefully I'll be back, a little gem of a pub.

Visited the pub on many occasions and initially was good meeting the landlord Sukdev engaging in conversation giving my husband and I a welcoming feeling. We therefore decided we would return however on an occasion were served by an Asian lady called Priya who was the total opposite, cold , rude and not hospitable in comparison to our first visit. We put this down to her maybe having a bad day however when we revisited on a number of occasions we found Priya was always cold and rude to both my husband and I. We would try and make conversation but this was met with an abrupt tone which would leave us feeling uncomfortable. We would accept this was her persona however we would often hear her engaging with other customers in a totally different tone and manner. My husband and I visited the pub today and were invited by a couple of regulars J &D to join them on their table. We joked and laughed and the drinks flowed, my husband then approached the bar to get his round in and Priya intervened refusing to serve him stating D had been at the pub for some time and had drank enough. Trust me he was fine and my husband and I are both responsible and mature enough to recognise this. We were shocked and even D commented to Priya he was ok. if he was paralytic we would not add to this . We felt Priya was intervening for some reason , my husband commented in humour D was fine and made a light comment “are you his mum” . Priya then went on some form of rant that she didn’t appreciate this comment. My husband then highlighted all the occasions she had been rude to us both and questioned why? We decided enough was enough and left and made it clear we wouldn’t be returning. A shame really as Sukdev a lovely fella, regulars and customers the same but reading the negative reviews it’s clear these are due to a particular person indicating a common pattern. Sukdev’s facial expression as we left stating we wouldn’t be returning confirmed he’d seen it all before . P.S they charge £8 for a sandwich which comes with no sides, i.e chips , salad or even a packet of crisps!!!

This pub truly stands out! From the moment you step inside, you're greeted by an amazing atmosphere within a gorgeous building. It's truly a nice place to have a drink and soak it all in. The service and staff were great, making for a really pleasant experience. Unfortunately, the food didn't quite live up to the high standards set by the rest of the pub. There was a long wait for our order, and when it finally arrived, it was cold and tasteless. The chicken tikka was particularly disappointing, being both dry and cold, and the vegan burger was undercooked and cold in the middle.

I visited a few weeks ago with family and friends and was blown away by the taste of the food! Generous portions and full of flavour! The staff are friendly and lovely to speak to. Very clean and beautiful interior. I highly recommend a visit here

Went for the first time, for a family early evening meal with 2 children (8&11). We all chose curry as that's what had been recommended to us by friends. The pilau rice was so yummy, I could have just eaten double and been satisfied. We all left with happy bellies!

Omg what a cute, sweet little pub. Beautiful garden out the front and even more garden around the back. This little cosy, pretty pub is family run, the staff were really nice and friendly. Stopped off here for a lovely glass of bubbles, sitting outside the pub makes you feel you are somewhere else like The Cotswells, its lovely thatch roof and a plant feature as you enter the pub garden.
