Overall, I found the meals to offer good value for money, reflecting positively on the pub’s food proposition. • Pizza: This was particularly well executed — freshly prepared, perfectly cooked, and thoroughly enjoyable. • Sunday Roast: The dish was enjoyable overall, though there were a few areas where consistency could be improved. The roast chicken was slightly dry, the Yorkshire pudding a little overcooked, and the “pig in blanket” was missing from the plate. These are relatively minor details, but attention to such elements can make a meaningful difference to perceived quality and customer satisfaction.

Thanks to the team for accommodating our work Christmas do on Wednesday lunchtime at VERY late notice!! The table and room and pub looked beautiful and you could tell the effort you'd gone to. The food was really lovely, the chef did an amazing job to get 15 main courses out and all nice and hot! The Mint chocolate tart was to die for from the festive menu. Vegan and gluten free options available too. Thanks to the staff who took great care of us!! We'll be back!

Just had a lovely Christmas meal with 8 work colleagues. Couldn’t have asked for better service. Food was lovely and everyone had a lovely evening. Highly recommend

Lovely little pub, only stopped for a couple of drinks so I'm yet to taste the food but the staff were friendly, as were the other customers. Tables were clean and chairs comfortable. There's a beautiful fireplace and a couple of tvs showing a sports channel. They also have a really pretty beer garden, which I bet looks even more lovely in the summer. This pub is dog friendly and has lots of parking at the front, it's also only a few minutes walk to a bus stop and about 10 minutes to the train station!

Haven't been here for so long but thought I'd give it a try as they were doing 30% off mains for a few weeks. It's always been pleasant and the food has been average but the food was outstanding!!! The prices on food have increased but are still reasonable and happy to pay for decent food which this was! Staff were really friendly and very approachable. Sitting outside in the sunshine in the beer garden was really lovely. Great seating area. Totally recommend this pub.

We had the party for our Son’s christening here today and it was absolutely brilliant. Lovely food and plenty to go around for all. All the staff were so helpful and friendly, they have helped through from booking to offering to help us set up. We had a whole room to ourselves and nothing was too much trouble. Thank you to all the staff at The Kings Head.

Decided to try today for a quick bite to eat. We had to look around for a member of staff. When we found one in the kitchen was told to sit anywhere. After sitting there for 20 mins no staff were anywhere to be seen, so didn't get the opportunity to order. Gave up in the end and left.

Good Sunday Roast. Steaks were decent. Liked the ambience. Ample parking. Has outdoor seating also.

We visited on a Friday night a couple of weeks ago for a relaxed Friday night meal and a drink. Having not checked out the menu beforehand, we were very pleasantly surprised to find that we could order burgers for just £5, even on a Friday evening! Given that we’re vegetarian, we were also very pleased to see we still had some good options. For drinks, we had a couple of cocktails - my wife had a “Purple Rain” and I had a “Godfather”. These were very well priced also at two for £8, which is again very good value for a Friday evening. We sat in the eating area towards the back of the pub where it was relatively quiet and comfortable. The place could probably do with a good clean or refurbishment though, or that area at least. We ordered a halloumi burger and the “Moving Mountains” burger to share, and got both of these for just £5 each which was brilliant. Both burgers were really good, and were served incredibly quickly as well. The Moving Mountains burger is tasty, but still doesn’t beat the “Beyond Meat” burgers!! There was a bit of a wait for the drinks, but they did bring these to the table which was nice. The only downside with the food was the very small amount of chips we were given, which made half of the plate look very sparse! If we’d known that was going to be the case, we’d have happily paid a little more for an extra portion between us. All in all, this was a really good meal considering how low the cost was, and we’d definitely look at going back in future.
