   New menu definitely lives up to the new refurbishment, Roast dinner is definitely up there with railway pub in twickham pub , The presentation, obviously mine doesn’t look as good that’s because I don’t eat veg but taste was unbelievable. Everything was freshly made and you could taste it. I would say definitely the best roast dinner around town and it was busy In the pub but the food waiting time wasn’t long. Brilliant 10/10 Thanks to the bear staff for a perfect roast dinner

   Was in search for a Sunday roast and came across The Bear. So pleased I did! The food was delicious and it looked as good as it tasted. Atmosphere was nice and relaxed, child and dog friendly! I will definitely be back and look forward to trying other things on the menu.

   Absolutely love the Bear! Sunday roasts and the breakfasts are both amazing. Staff are wonderful here too. The garden is fab in the summer too, really big and loads of seating. There's live music and pool, too!

   Took my 4 year old for a cut today and John did a smashing job. I don’t often walk into a pub mid morning so I was a little dubious at first but it was quiet and calm, the welcome was warm and we all felt completely at ease. We’ll certainly go back for his next cut!

   Will never come back when thr guy known as snowy is working. He is rude ans blunt. He also charged my card £135 instead of £35 and when I confronted him at the bar he wasn't even sorry, he simply refunded my money and told me to go away, I also had to wait 7 days for my refund. This man should not be behind the bar, not only can he not see but he is the most rudest person I've ever met!!
