   Was really looking forward to invite my colleagues to this local pub in Hounslow West, for some Punjabi food, half the items were not available, we thought after our Gartner conference we could have some local food, how embarrassing was this place ! Singh Man sort out this place ! What a dump , really bad , you are right out of Hounslow West tube, this place should be packed , Mr Singh ! Luckily we got a taxi to the White Bear and ordered food, couple of games of pool , my colleagues from Brazil, Germany, Norway loved it. Really 1 star for this nonsense place, you don't even serve cask beers ! Change the name to "Mr Singh's Money making machine " !

   When I was a boy this was where the scarey men went and women weren't allowed in. 50 years later I was walking by and took the opportunity to actually go in for a pint and found it to be user friendly and not scarey at all.

   Not the most appealing-looking pub from the outside, but... what a great place this is! It's got a nice vibe, spacious with plenty of seating, and a good selection of spirits, lagers, bitters. The night we were here, they had Irish music playing over the stereo, and a massive assortment of varied nibbles available... for free. It's just opposite the Hounslow West Tube Station, so well connected by transport (parking is a nightmare around here), with plenty of ATMs and food places around for that post-bevvy remedy meal.

   We stopped to use the toilets (for 3 desperate kids) and thought we'd buy a couple of drinks as we had used the facilities... the children touched the slot machines (as kids do) and the barmaid was vile about it.... not very friendly and totally uncalled for..... to top that off the Coke Zero bottles they served us were out of date!!!! She became a lot friendlier after that and the atmosphere did pick up a bit, but..... the initial attitude ruined it...... the place itself is need of some refurbishment and touch up of the decorating etc.... the carpets really need changing. The coke was well priced.

   Everything was great, and the pool isn't any more expensive than other pubs. The only thing preventing a 5 star (and I would give 4 and a half if possible, based on one experience) is the price of soft drinks, which is a bit dire! Staff were friendly and welcoming, hoping to be back at some point.

   Nice place, friendly atmosphere, a bit of an old timey feel to it. While it does not have a tremendous amount of alcohol choice, it is quite decent in the on tap option department. Good for watching sports I assume, as there is always TVs on, showing sports events.
