I loved the place. It's perfect for having a beer and listening to good live music. They have a good selection of drinks and snacks. You can tell they really care about the quality of their events.

This pub has become such an important part of the local area. Over the past few years it has really come into its own and now feels like the heart of the community. There is always something going on. Live music nights, quizzes, a good selection of drinks, and a proper friendly atmosphere. It is the kind of place where you always see familiar faces and people genuinely feel welcome. We stopped by on a live music night. Although we did not stay for the band, we had food from the Thai truck out back (I think only on special nights….shame) and it was absolutely delicious. Fresh, full of flavour and a great addition to the evening. I believe the landlady is called Nicole and she seems to be the one who holds it all together (we didn’t talk as she seemed busy but ever present). There is a real sense of care and attention that shows in every part of the pub. This is not just a place for a drink. It is a space where people meet, connect and feel part of something. A proper local in every sense and we are lucky to have it!

Visit this pub. This is what all other pubs should aspire to. My friend just moved down the road, and a bunch of us helped him with the heavy lifting. There is only one way to celebrate moving heavy things- pub. Nicole the landlady was super friendly. Gave us a welcoming round, a tour, and my friend a Red Lion Keyring. Looks like there is a ton going on here, and it's a lot of fun. All the interior has been traditionally kept. Which is very rare in pubs these days (gastropubs, yuck), and is great! This is a proper pub. I'm looking forward to visiting again, and I am definitely going to be at the festival they hold.

I thought it was a great place to hangout after work with colleagues as a first time visitor. The pub even sold my favourite Czech beer there...result.

Great music on a Sunday evening in a run down 70s pub which does have a certain appeal. The place may be dated but the prices are pretty much what you get in the pub these days- at least a £5 per pint. Good service, nice local pub, needs a refurb though.
