First time visiting whilst visiting family. The bar staff were friendly and the prices were good, but the pub was quite empty and lacked atmosphere which the owners might want to remedy. That said, it wasn't an unenjoyable visit and I would visit again. Also worth noting the pub is dog friendly, which is a plus.
Restaurant was just closed as we arrived. Staff allowed us to get take away elsewhere and dine in using their cutlery,crockery and condiments. Fantastic friendly staff. Definitely be coming back to dine. Selling real ale Ā£2.95 per pint on our visit. This review will be updated once we sample food. Been back for food and ti watch Newcastle v Manchester City match. I had cottage pie and it was delicious and very good value for money. I then has to have bread and butter pudding with custard. Yummy yummy and Ā£2.50 per portion. Bargain. The staff continue to be polite and very attentive. Love this pub.

Awesome staff and customer (friends) Ā£3.70 a pint
Noticed this pub for years and finally stepped in. It is a combo of old and new build in which the new section feels like a living room making it extra comfy and nice to sit and chat in with good people and nice drinks. Will visit again in future to check out the food as visited when kitchen had closed for evening.
