   Update: Patron Insurance contacted me after seeing my review. They admitted it was their mistake and refunded the full £215 without me even having to file a formal complaint. I really appreciate that they reached out proactively and resolved the issue quickly. Based on this excellent customer service, I’m now updating my rating to 5 stars. My old review: (Very disappointed with this insurance broker. I took out a policy after a face-to-face appointment where I provided all my documents. The advisor checked everything but failed to mention that my private car no-claims bonus (NCB) had to be less than 6 months old. Because of that, the insurance company didn’t accept my NCB — and I was never told this condition upfront. They said they would call the insurer and get back to me with a recalculated price. That back-and-forth took 4 days, during which I didn’t even use the policy or drive the car. But after the policy was cancelled, they still charged me £215 — removing all the discounts and adding £75 admin fee from the insurance company and £25 fee from themselves.) I was charged for their mistake, and they refused to take any responsibility. I still don’t understand why I had to pay for an error made by their own admin. Avoid this broker if you expect clear communication, transparency, or accountability.

   I recently had a great experience with Patons Insurance, located in Suite 180, City View House, 5 Union St, Manchester M12 4JD. I was served by a very helpful lady who took the time to explain a few details I initially found confusing. I was searching for a more affordable option after receiving a high renewal quote from my previous insurer, and that's when I came across Patons Insurance (One of my friends referred). Although their initial quote was higher, they were more than willing to adjust it when I mentioned I had received a lower quote elsewhere (told them the details of that company). In fact, they offered me an even better and cheaper deal, making them the most competitive option. Their document processing was straightforward, and they asked me to upload the necessary documents via their Patons app. I did encounter a small issue while uploading, but a representative from Patons called me to assist. She guided me through the process, and I successfully uploaded the documents during our conversation. It’s just one of those tech hiccups that can happen, but their support team was extremely helpful and resolved it quickly. I would recommend to connect them through the phone during this kind of issues. Additionally, they offer a referral program where you can earn £50 for every successful referral, with no limit on the number of referrals. I found this to be a nice bonus. While I’ve seen some negative reviews, my personal experience with Patons Insurance has been excellent.
