Cody nice pub with good cask ales. There is a garden at the back yard as well.

Lovely welcoming staff that are always up for a chat and theyβve done a fantastic job with the place. Jukebox to play your own music, pool table and now theyβre doing food! We stopped in for a drink on our way to the carvery on Sunday and decided to eat here instead as theyβre doing home made roast dinners! We had halloumi sticks with chilli jam and home made tomato soup for starters which were out of this world and the lamb roast was so yummy! Didnβt break the bank either like most places. Definitely recommend!

I have had better experience going there on my own than with my dog. They make out that they are dog-friendly at this pub (and so be like several other pubs in the area), but some of their staff are good with dogs, and others aren't. However, it is not the staff who are the problem where dogs are concerned but rather some of the regulars who will try to pet your dog without asking or even be anti-dog by being unnecessarily aggressive towards it for no apparent reason - other than perhaps to make it awkward for the dog owner. I am tempted to let the RSPCA know about this and see if I can get some of the people who go there banned or at least looked into. There is even one guy with white close-cropped hair who goes there, for instance. I know he has dogs, but ironically does not take his dogs there. I know he sets his dogs on others because I had to help a neighbour out with protecting her black labrador from them once, because he set his dogs on her when she was walking it with her son. He was very aggressive towards her, and I don't know what she would have done if I had not come along at that time (but also when I was out walking my dog too!) I had one guy there today, who came back in after smoking to reclaim his seat, where my little dog was sitting peacefully near his seat. He stomped angrily near her, and so she barked at him, but then instead of let me deal with it he threatened to smash a bar stool on her head. When I said I would be compelled to respond if he did that, Lisa the landlady came over and said my dog is banned (like others, she advised - but which I now suspect is indicative of punters like this, and not necessarily the dog owners themselves). I would not recommend any one taking their dog there, but I would also be wary of some of the rough trade who frequent that establishment too - and spoil the atmosphere.

Our first visit to the local pub and I'm so glad we did. The staff were fantastic, so welcoming and helpful. The food was delicious and the atmosphere for the England match was brilliant. My kids loved it and we will definitely be back again.

Friendly staff, great food, good value. The mix and match plates are a great shout, especially the sliders. We got three of the mix n match plates to share. one of the plates we chose was the beyond meat sliders, thinking they would be tiny. But they were actually a decent size. If you're after a quick/smaller meal you could get the sliders and a bowl of fries to share and be quite happy.

Great local pub with a really homely feel and cosy atmosphere. Lovely staff, great choice of tasty food and drinks on reasonable prices. The chef always comes to greet us and ask for our opinion about the food. My hubby and I enjoy going there on our day off work.

This was my first visit with my son, daughter-in-law and granddaughter. They have just moved into the area and I was visiting. The lunch, I had the large fish & chips which in fact was very large and was very nice indeed. I was driving so had a soft drink. The service was very pleasant and efficient. It was not over busy on our visit but was very enjoyable. I understand this is going to be my sons local which I think he will be happy with. I look forward to visiting again. I will certainly give it the extra star rating. Hope to see you soon.

Insane food. My partner and i have just orodered from here, both being quite skeptical on pub food. However, it came packaged really well, piping hot and the food was amazing! 2 meals and sides for less than Β£30. Amazing value for money and great quality food. The image I have added of the burger does not even do it justice. It was very full and well cooked.
