Hosted my nieces event at this venue, we had exclusive hire, team were very helpful. Handy and communicative. We had such a lovely time. Would definitely recommend for kids big or small!
Friendly staff great activities for the kids especially like the fact it has small world role play rooms - lab, music room, cafe, vets - the vets even has real fish in it and the lab has loads of sensory lights. The soft play itself is smaller than Monkey Bizness but thats a benefit because its easier to find your child. It also has better activities i side like a zip line, a ball-pool and a turfed football pitch that other centres do not have. Food is slightly pricier than a corner shop but not extortionate. Staff are professional really friendly and actively engage with children. I think we would have a good time if we arranged a birthday party. They do activities with y not just food and play. Great afternoon out and great value.
Hi, I wanted to share some feedback following my first visit today with both my eldest and my baby. My eldest has been many times with his nan and always had lovely experiences, so I was really hoping for the same — especially as I’ve been suffering with postnatal depression, and this was my first outing alone with both children. My mother-in-law also spoke very highly of the place. When we arrived, everything seemed fine. Check-in was smooth and we found a table easily. However, things quickly went downhill when I went to order food. The music was blasting loudly — I was later told someone had forgotten to turn it down — which meant I had to shout my order and struggled to hear anything. I ordered a sandwich box for my son, but they didn’t have a cheese sandwich prepared. I said that was okay and he’d wait for his sister’s hotdog, and to just bring it over when ready. The food was brought over when we weren’t at the table, and I luckily noticed. When I saw the sandwich wasn’t there, I had two hungry children and a baby crying, but I still had to leave my baby screaming to go and ask where the sandwich was. I couldn’t leave her to start eating unsupervised. I reminded the staff it needed to be without butter. I waited a couple of minutes and checked again, but still no sandwich. Meanwhile, my own chips and cheese were going cold — I wasn’t about to eat while my son had nothing. I was told again it wouldn’t be long. As I walked away, I heard the girls behind the counter making comments, which felt unprofessional and quite unpleasant. When the sandwich finally arrived, it had butter on it. At that point, I didn’t feel comfortable going back to raise it again after the staff’s attitude, and I also didn’t want to leave my children unattended. My son ended up sharing my now-cold chips and cheese. The hotdog meal was also very disappointing. I even sent a photo to my mother-in-law to ask if this was normal, and she was shocked. For £4.95, it was a slice of bread, a tiny portion of chips, and dried-up, limp carrots, and I haven’t a clue what brand of hot dog It didn’t feel like good value or good quality. Towards the end, the kids wanted an ice cream. I waited at the counter for quite a long time, while both children sat at the table alone. I eventually had to open their ice creams and take them over as they were melting, while still queueing with the wrappers and a bottle of pop. This left me extremely anxious being away from them — again, not the stress-free experience I hoped for. Unfortunately, the whole visit wasn’t enjoyable, especially considering this was meant to be a positive step for me getting out with both children. Between the service, the food quality, and the atmosphere, it really wasn’t a nice experience, and not worth the money spent. I genuinely wish I’d stuck to taking them to McDonald’s afterwards, but I wanted to support a local business by eating in-house. Going forward, it’s not somewhere I’d return to for food or by myself with the children, which is a real shame as I work part-time and my baby would have loved visiting during the week. I just wanted to feed this back, as I believe honest feedback is important and appreciated. Dropped this on email too.
I visit Play Valley regularly, started when my first daughter was 2, the other 1 year old and now two years later I also have 9 months old son with whom I visit this place. We all love it. I feel welcomed. The place is clean, large and every child will find something to their liking. I also ordered parties with them that later were praised by all the guests. There are few ladies working here I just have to mention and the biggest "Thank you" goes to Cat. She is a gem! She had done more for my daughter (who awaits autism diagnosis) with her confidence and social skills than a nursery did in one year! She's got eyes all over so I know my children are always safe. I also cannot count how many times I left keys, phone or other items in the play area or my table and she always brought them to me. Thank you Cat! Other ladies I need to mention are Nina and Abby but honestly all of them are doing great job. I highly recommend trying if you haven't yet. I cannot thank enough
Went yesterday. Lovely place for the children. They had good time to a party. The only issue is that if people come in for the first time they can’t find the place easily because there is NO sign on the street. I’ve been driving up and down and finally ringed my friends for advice. The place is hidden. I would advise the owners to put a sign on that street.
Me and my friends meet up regular for our children to have a play date but only recently that I have found out that they charge for a baby over 3 months which I find ridiculous as he can't really do anything can't even sit up I even think it's a disgrace how they charge for adults when at other play areas they give u one adult free but guess that's how they get u as I can't really let my eldest go in on his own at 3.. I will not be going there again. And neither will my friends also last week when I went the heating was broken and it was freezing which to my opinion they should not have opened its OK for the kids running about but what about the little babies that go absolutely disgraceful
First trip here today with my 11 month and 3 year old kids. We loved it! Loads of stuff for the little one and the toddler. Lovely environment with friendly staff and loads to do. Will definitely recommend to others!
We visited this soft play centre for the first time today. Firstly we phoned up before going to ask for prices and to see how busy they were, we were told the prices for my two children but we’re not told we had to pay for the adults so when we turned up we soon realised we were mislead and it cost us £10 for our family entry. We should have been told over the phone the correct full prices, not just the price for children. However, the whole visit was amazing. We have been to a lot of different soft plays now in various different areas near us and this was by far the best! It had literally everything! The amount of sensory things and also the bright ray of colours for my 11 month old was absolutely amazing! At most soft plays you get the big climbing bits for the older children and the younger babies just get a small square area, however here there was several different places for my daughter to go. My son cried when it was time to go home because he enjoyed it so much! He has never enjoyed a soft place venue this much. The room and tables are hugely spaced out and we felt very comfortable. We will definitely be returning. Thank you!
