   Love the food here and the staff. Had an issue with my mums food, she’s old and hard of hearing and Hannah was excellent at helping her. Very kind and patient even though mum is hard work. Thanks again. Will be back.

   2nd time going there, 1st with my eldest daughter, she had the gammon and I had fish and chips. Both superb. Went last night with my hubby, he had the fish, I had the rump steak, OMG, absolutely beautiful. Jane you cooked my steak to perfection, haven't had a steak cooked to my liking for a very long time. Thank you. On entering the pub, we were greeted by smiling and attentive bar staff.

   AVOID THE FOOD POISIONING: Came here yesterday as a gift to my mother. We ordered the fish and the lasagne and was disappointed. We've visited the pub before and eaten here, sad to say will not be return for the food. First of all for the fish which was for my mother and i tried after she stopped eating, the peas were completely cold, While the had a soft rubble like constancy. It appeared as tho the batter had been burned an in attempt to soften it the dish had been microwaved. I myself had the beef and rewine lasagne, which while looking appealing was not. The garlic bread like the peas was cold and tasted more of oil then bread. The pasta itself while having it's flavour was swimming in oil, and burnt on the edges, making it a struggle to even get down. Yet we tried because we had paid the money. As a frequent visitor who used to live just 5 minutes away and a fellow bar worker in london it's a shame to see when quality turns out like this. I've been bedridden all day throwing up since with what I can only assume is food poisoning from here as I hadn't eaten anything else thay day as I was looking forward to the meal.    I remember going in here a few years ago,it was a right dive.went there today 6,8,24 and was pleasantly impressed. Its had a good make over,the sausage and mash was very tasty and a nice pint of Stella.did have to wait about 30 minutes for the food but that was OK.

   When i was last at this pub I noticed how there was one member of staff Billy serving on his own with a large queue, but I ended up really concerned as when he left to go get food from the kitchen a patron seemed to go behind the bar and help him self the tills and drinks. I asked around a little and found out it was an off the clock staff member Liam helping themselves to the counter! Normally this sort of thing wouldn't bother me but because of him going behind the bar it kept causing issues with us being served and slowing down our service! Feel sorry for Billy having to work around the arrogance of course workers thinking they're above other patrons and actively stopping him from doing his job throughout the night. It didn't help that the group this Liam was with was loud and annoying and you would think being a worker there he would know how to have some respect for other customers and not cause disturbances the entire night with his own speaker playing music! Absolutely no respect for anyone at all

   Came in today and was really taken back with the excellent service I received. I ordered a meal and food was outstanding and arrived on time, staff was very approachable and friendly and the whole pub was very clean including the toilets, highly recommend to anyone, will definitely be visiting again

   Very disappointing experience, we wanted hot drinks but the hot drink machine was broken. They didn’t have what we originally wanted so had to choose something else. Waited about an hour before our food arrived. My partner had ordered the fish and chips but the fish batter was greasy and the dish made her feel unwell. On the upside my vegan burger was satisfactory despite not being what I wanted originally. Would have the vegan burger again although they were skimpy on the chips!

   We went for a quick family dinner, Chloe served us and Jess cooked our food. I ate here before but I think the kitchen set on fire, and the chicken I ordered wasn't seasoned jerk. I got the chicken platter, my son for the hit chicken burger(can't remember what is called). Their bbq sauce is amazing btw. We got brownie and make your own sundae for dessert. They said they have a new manager now and the place seemed a bit more cared for. The staff were helpful and kind plus they spent about 5 mins trying to get the kids toy machine working for my little one who had her £1 to spend on the machine. They don't have full day pepsi on tap but they do have bottled Pepsi which is cheaper than the full fat coke. It's alright in there, they need new decor and tables were proper sticky but the staff said they were fixing the place up so we will defo be back.. other customers were friendly and even gave my bubba another quid for the machine. The football came on but it was still a nice atmosphere. Didn't get rowdy.

   Despite being virtually empty, our food seemed to take ages and when my hunters chicken finally turned up it was served with 'gravy' - but i wouldnt call it that. it was gravy powder with warm water - and still tasted of the powder! the processed slice of cheese was still sitting on top (not even near melted) the staff were less than apologetic and the girl behind the bar couldn't care less ! the birds enjoyed it tho.
