Shocking customer service, told me a gym membership through vitality on the phone was £43, then when i could only get it for £68 they refused to acknowledge they told me it's £43. Joke of a company

Absolutely shocking service from start to finish. First time they messed up big time and left me with an abcess that needed draining and now I called today regarding 4 broken ribs and I got zero help. They seem to fight everything you say so they get out of helping you. Absolutely disgusting service. I strongly advise anyone to never use this company. You'd be better putting the monthly payments in a pot and use as and when required. Vitality UK Warning - They don’t pay out for stroke despite evidence from high ranking medical practitioners!! Avoid Avoid Avoid They refused to pay out for a stroke -be careful with this company, they are slippery. As you will see from my other reviews, I always try to support businesses that I have dealings with. I feel very strongly about my experience at VItality Uk and for good reason. I will strongly advise you to stay away from this company. My family had been on Vitality health insurance paying £125 each month for around 3 year and when it was time for daughter who has stomach pain to be seen by a specialist, Vitality refuse to look into our claim. The claim is still pending since a year and some months. I also have a pending claim for months now if not year. Vitality is a very dodgy company and will never help you when you need them. Vitality is only good in taking your monthly fees but when you are in need of their service, they look for reasons not to help you. I wish we were saving the monthly fees ( £125) we have been paying them for around 3 years. WHAT WE LEARNED IS SAVE YOUR MONEY AND YOU WILL BE ABLE TO COVER YOUR MEDICAL COST.

If I could give zero stars I would. Every claim handler at Vitality has been told to Deny, Delay, Defend. They make you jump through endless hoops, then when you think you've done those hoops, they come up with more, all whilst your condition worsens and is exacerbated. They cant apply their own terms and conditions properly and try to infer meanings into terms which simply don't exist. I'm genuinely surprised that the FCA haven't investigated them yet, there are a huge number of FOS decisions against them- for good reason. Clearly Vitality haven't heard of Consumer Duty or treating customers fairly, or if they have, their strict policy is to ensure every policyholder is treated unfairly and mislead. Let's not even start on the so called "Rewards", in particular using gambling on a health app. There's not a chance in hell I would pay a single penny for Vitality Insurance, and I'll be feeding back to my workplace just what a complete scam this company is. The policy isn't worth the paper it's written on. Avoid like the plague. Their response to this review is embarrassing, I've tried whatsapp (what a joke that "service" is), tried emails, tried hours on calls. Their own claim handlers admit they know nothing about their own policies and haven't heard of Consumer Duty. Do not waste your money on this abhorrent company.

There isn’t a star lower than one. Do not trust this company they will promise everything and they couldn’t even get a Gp appointment. The sales staff will try to sell you and get aggressive if you don’t decide and complaints team will not listen to you at all. Simple GP and Physio was not arranged in time and took 3 months for them to respond to complaints

I have had my car insurance with Vitality for two years. The payments are up to date. I had asked for help after the pandemic, as I had lost a chunk of my income and was struggling with the monthly direct debit. They did help me by rearranging the payment date after I said I was in financial hardship. However, I didn't realise their help came at a price. Today, out of the blue, they have told me they will no longer be able to provide me with car insurance after my current term runs out. It is because of my falling behind due to the pandemic - even though I caught up the arrears, they had agreed to help and the policy has never been cancelled or defaulted. So now, I am going to have to pay for new insurance (with a large deposit) when I can ill afford it, even though I am not in arrears with my Vitality policy. They were quite happy to take my money for the past two years. I would NOT recommend them. Most unhelpful when other service providers have been very helpful during and after the pandemic.

We were trained to use Bupa’s consultant finder because ours was garbage. Hahahahaha as you sit there as a customer of Vitality thinking Vitality is an absolute joke, you are only scratching the surface. Shouldn’t be long before they fall apart. Best of luck to all their customers

As you can’t leave zero stars, I’ve had to leave one .. But if I could leave non I would. Do not use Vitality, they never pay out, do everything they can to NOT help you. I also had the miss fortune to work here for a brief stint, it’s an AWFUL HORRIBLE place to work, everyone is clickey, people worked there for 20+ years, it’s impossible to pass probation! They are constantly recruiting for the role which tells you a lot. I rarely leave reviews but this needs to be known.

Vitality is a good service (they give you free Nero coffees, free cinema tickets…) till you actually need them for something useful. They GP service is over-saturated and they don’t cover a lot of basic things (like dental or glasses). I want to love it but I can’t. Hope to have to edit this review in the future tho.
