Popped in for an indicator bulb change and fitting a new phone holder only to discover both challenging due to the way the car is set up. Fernando persisted in the rain with such a positive attitude. So impressed by his attention to detail and high standards alongside a helpful and cheerful approach. I highly recommend.

---------PLEASE READ BEFORE GOING------------ Took my car here for a full service. They advised I needed spark plug change £196.97, Wiper change £76.21, front break pads and discs £378.08, rear pads £148.62 and three new tires £293.97. Total £1,093.85. This seemed like far to much work seeing as I only average 9k miles a year. Took my car to another mechanic to get a second opinion who advised break pads and discs are fine for another 6 months and they can supply all spark plugs for around £50 but no need to change at this stage. I am a hard working young man who cannot afford to be robbed like this and i think it is absolutely criminal.

Ordered online for collection in-store. All went to plan found all items I wanted with confirmation that all products were available for collection in 1 hr. Did not hear anything via email text and no one was answering the phone when I attempted to call to see if my order had been picked and ready so decided to make a trip as it had been over an hour since ordering and I wanted to get on with servicing my car. When I turned up I was told that not all items were available for collection which explains why I was not contacted. Was told they do not get deliveries from the parts company on a Sunday and I should not have been given confirmation that it would be ready today? As you can appreciate this is very poor service! Not from the staff in the store, they were apologetic. Would seem Halfords computer system is not in sync with the store. This is now going to cost me two lots of petrol runs and the savings I made choosing Halfords vs my local auto parts shop has now resulted in loosing money and time. Poor show Halfords. Never again. Just to Note this is not directly aimed at the staff at Borehamwood store.

Great service once again from Halfords Borehamwood! Arrived with my bike for its 6 week check, and one of the team (I believe a SA gentleman) offered to carry my bike up the stairs for me. Will carried out the check. He then went above and beyond to advise me on a repair for another bike (later carrying out that repair to a very high standard.) When attempting to put my bike back in my car after the 6 week check, another member of the team (an older gentleman working on a car engine) came over kindly offered to put my bike into my car for me. What a great team!

Easy to order online. Available quickly the next day. Frequent and detailed email & text communications. Friendly customer service. Item is light weight, cheap price, and fits into car boot nicely. Highly recommend.

Amazing service. I had car trouble getting there on time but they were still able to fit me in. The gentleman (D) who attended to us was polite, friendly and patient throughout the service. After not being behind the wheel for nearly 10 weeks, I felt confident driving back home, knowing my vehicle has been checked. Would definitely recommend the service.

This was one of the best visits at Halfords! This store based in Borehamwood it is the best one ever! I booked to change and fit number plates and I have received a five star service! Starting from Lawrence, I think he was a store manager to finish with Danny who was friendly, polite and excellent! Thanks again for making this afternoon easy for me! These days to get this kind of service it’s a miracle! Thank You!

NEGLIGENT, DANGEROUS AND ZERO TRANSPARENCY!!! PLEASE READ BEFORE YOU TAKE YOUR CAR TO THIS AWFUL GARAGE. Absolutely shocking service. We had our front tyres changed on our Mercedes, at the time my wife was 7 months pregnant. The car was making a rattling noise and we took it back twice only to be told there was nothing wrong. The next two weeks my wife made multiple journeys in the car including a 250 mile round trip to Bristol. A week later on the m25 the car there was a significant vibrating sound. We took it back immediately to Halfords in Borehamwood. They were closed but the manager noticed the wheel was moving. On closer examination the wheel was visibly moving on the hub/axel. We were told we shouldn't be driving the car and once checked the manager found the bolts in the box in the car boot. THE BOLTS HAD NOT BEEN SECURED TO THE WHEEL!!!! I am no mechanic but this is the most basic aspect of being a mechanic. Nobody was held accountable (and we asked multiple times for a report), the regional manager Tommy did nothing to investigate the incident. We were give a refund by Leslie Tonge the senior claims executive, but even then they got that wrong. Any longer in that car and the wheel would have come off (possibly on the M25) and it is unbearable to think of what could have happened. As mentioned the mechanic who was completely negligent may still be working which is shocking to think. DANGEROUS AND COMPLETELY INCOMPETENT. THE PHOTO BELOW SHOWS THE MECHANIC WHO CHECKED THE CAR FOR THE SECOND TIME ONLY TO BE TOLD IT WAS FINE!!!!

Ordered bicycle cassette at click and collect. Arrived to find they didn't have it in stock. Wasted trip. Spent 30 mins waiting for St Albans to answer to see if they had it in stock. They didn't answer. Asked the "cycle mechanic" for two cassette spacers - told me they were downstairs with car items - as if! Wouldn't help me find them. I explained they are a shimano cycle item there is no way theyre downstairs. He sent me packing. Sales guy downstairs said they're be upstairs, I agreed, cue shouting between sales ops up and down the stairs. End result: Wasted 20 min journey, wasted fuel, item refunded but halfords keep my money for 3 days, no item, no spacers, the cycle mechanic is alarmingly inept but then I know this as I fix bikes for a hobby and have fixed 4 local Halfords bikes with forks installed backwards. Heres an example
