It was so easy to book in for a free health check on my battery and I was seen earlier than my appointment time ! Dave gave me a diagnostic print out as soon as he had tested the battery and explained everything clearly. He even asked to listen to my car start up to make sure there was no delay in that which all reassured me. He gave me advice about recharging my battery and how to get my intermittent fault sign checked at any garage. I was very pleased with the efficient and helpful service from Dave and would highly recommend Halfords for car check.

I bought a bike from the Ruislip Halfords branch exactly a month ago, and the experience has been nothing short of appalling. At first, I had to wait for the bike to be delivered and assembled – that was expected, so no issue there. But when I picked it up, I noticed several problems straight away. The most serious? The front wheel wasn’t even properly tightened. It was so loose that I could remove it without touching the bolts. That’s not just careless – it’s dangerous and could literally kill someone on the road. I gave them the benefit of the doubt and assumed it was an unfortunate oversight. Fast forward a month, and the bike is already developing serious issues – problems with the hydraulic brakes, massive looseness in the front forks, and a few other mechanical faults. I returned to the store hoping for support under the so-called "warranty," only to be met with rudeness and condescension. A woman at the counter looked at me like I was bothering her just by existing. She told me they don’t do repairs, and the warranty only covers the frame and forks – and yet they refused to even inspect the forks. So what exactly does this "warranty" cover? It's like buying a brand-new phone and being told the only thing under warranty is the charging cable – completely useless. In short, Halfords operates on a shady system: "Here’s your bike. Now get lost. We don’t want to hear from you again." This is not how you treat customers. It's not just bad service – it's irresponsible and dangerous. Do yourself a favour – buy your bike elsewhere.
Today I visited another Halfords store. And I am satisfied with my purchase, namely the steering wheel lock. There is a very large selection of car and bicycle products. Friendly staff and cleanliness in the premises. I recommend it to everyone. I also want to say that there is free parking for store customers.
Extremely professional customer service from start to finish! All staff members from the bicycle department, to the checkout staff and the fitters were ever so polite and helpful. All members of staff went above and beyond! Stellar service from start to finish at Halfords Ruislip. And a special call out to Abbie from the bicycle department who advised me on the best bicycle rack option. Abbie was super friendly and a true expert in her field! Thank you.

On two occasions recently I have had reason to use Halfords fitting services for family members. I have been impressed with the happy courteous service I received on both occasions from Dave. All the staff were friendly and efficient and Dave particularly was first class. I would highly recommend the service.
