We purchased a kitchen from Mereway last month and we are really pleased with the quality and how it looks. We had a couple of minor issues on delivery but these were quickly sorted out by Mike who has been very helpful and responsive throughout the process.
fitted beautifuuly by a local tradesperson 4 years ago. After 18 months, bottom of door started to swell at bottom. We spent half that time in Spain and are a retired couple , so kitchen not heavily used in that time. In last 3 years, 3 more drawer fronts have gone same way. I suggested they were not fit for purpose. Mereway say it's because kitchen is steamy or use steam cleaner on floor. My kitchen opens out into lounge and with extractor fan never gets steamy. Always use a cold floor environmentally floor cleaner. So am looking into consumer rights. in response to above, I was contacted and Company have now agreed to replace all damaged kitchen fronts.
I believe the problem of this company is the follow up and aftercare I bought a flat which has Mereway Kitchen. I asked them to check the records to help me find which branch made it in 2016. They didnt bother, and just told me the closest brach (which is also not replying to my emails and did not help on the phone). They stopped amswering me on social media. All I want is to make some changes and put integrated appliances. Please show respect to your customers
I have had a very large kitchen and utility fitted by a local company using Mereway kitchen units. I deliberately choose Mereway because I believe they supply John Lewis kitchens and my last kitchen was john Lewis and after 10 years had no marks on it. My new kitchen is a year old and paint is coming off the corners of the side panels and off the dishwasher door. We are three adults in the house and we are all very careful. I have been told they will send me some touch up paint and I should rub it down and re-paint where the paint has come off. Really? after one year? I have been told it must be a cable or a microfibre cloth which although I tell them this is not the case I still get the same response - rub down and re-paint. If this is the case I don't believe the units are fit for purpose. I tried to talk to Mereway but they will not talk to me. I will now have to go to trading standards.
I had a Mereway kitchen installed by a local company who prided themselves on customer care and fantastic after service, unfortunately this turned out not to be the case. We then contacted Mereway themselves, this is a family owned company and they fully live up to their reputation. All the problems caused by the kitchen company were put right immediately after a visit from their representative, although they had no responsibility to do this. Every thing we asked was fully responded to in a quick manner. Mereway went above and beyond to ensure I had the kitchen I always wanted and i will be eternally grateful for their help and support.
