I cannot recommend James Potter and his team highly enough. Initially I was dubious about using an independent financial advisor as the costs seemed so high. Thank goodness I did as they got me a deal well in excess of what I could achieve independently. I was updated regularly and they took care of all the paperwork and processes involved in getting multiple pots consolidated. They then negotiated the best deal with an annuity provider which we had agreed was the best option for me. These guys are professional, courteous and very knowledgeable and I'm so glad I found them.
Rhys and Nathan at Lift Mortgages were great. My mortgage ended up being very complicated with income coming from salary, maintenance and then a childcare fund. They took time before application to check out my affordability and then worked tirelessly to get me the amount I needed. This involved a lot of work with relationship managers as the underwriter was inflexible. Rhys took my calls, responded to emails promptly, explained everything in detail and considered all options for me. I know I wouldn't have got the mortgage I needed without a broker from a well established, large company and Rhys' expertise in more complicated mortgages really paid off. I would and have highly recommended them and will definitely be back in 18 months to remortgage with them.
