   I recently visited Norman and Phillip Hair and Beauty, and I can't say enough good things about my experience with Louise. From the moment I sat in her chair, Louise really listened to my concerns and took the time to understand exactly what I was hoping to achieve. As someone who suffers from hair loss, a trip to the hairdressers is usually a nerve-wracking experience, but Louise made me feel completely at ease. Her professionalism was evident throughout the entire appointment, yet she was also incredibly friendly and approachable.    Been to many hairdressers in Wigan but stuck with Norman and Phillips for the past 10 years as its simply the best and most consistent had most of the different stylists cut my hair and its perfect each time. Would definitely recommend! Right across from a bus stop and between two train stations so transport wise its maybe one of the most accessible parts of the whole town.

   I had my hair done at the weekend, and asked for a natural balayage look from brown to blonde. I’ve now got chunky and stripey bits of blonde which aren’t blended at all, and it doesn’t look natural in the slightest. I’m regretting having it done, and now just wanna go back to my natural colour. When I complained they laughed at my mental health issues and refused to refund me. Avoid at all costs!!!

   Very poor experience. In the time of covid 19 , they dint have gloves or mask on just a face shield which was not covering their faces enough. Customers were made to sit next to each other without any shields between 2 customers. The lady who gave me a hair cut was tall and i am short so instead of taking the chair up she made me stand up to cut my hair , which was ridiculous. Never would suggest anyone to go there with such poor measure.

   After many years of ‘hairdressers fear’ because of not being listened to or it always going horriblely wrong, I got sick and tired of leaving the salon feeling crappy and gave up. I saw the new shop open on Wallgate and decided I’d give it a go, with my wedding coming up this year I had to find somebody I could trust and I did. Sharon has cut my hair twice now, both times she has listened to what I wanted, discussed it with me and has given me two of the best haircuts I’ve ever had. She is fast and extremely professional which just adds to the overall great experience of being in Norman and Philip. I couldn’t recommend the salon highly enough and I definitely won’t be going anywhere else!
